Is Jacob Riis calling your name for hot beach days and summer nights? What’s better than going with a friend?

Fiona is the perfect beach buddy! This girl would be happy lounging under an umbrella with you, playing on her own like a fool, or getting the whole gang running around. She definitely knows how to have a good time!

Fiona was rescued from a hoarding situation in Paju, South Korea where every dog had long term mange that caused extreme hair loss. This petite lady has had some time to work on her beauty routine since and is now learning to enjoy the finer things in life. She’s great outside and loves exploring new places and people watching like a good New Yorker.

Not only is she super cute and so much fun, but her adoption fee is now $450 AND she’s eligible to receive our Jindo Journey training stipend! This means her adopters are eligible to receive $300 towards their required training to get everyone off on a good foot and help with ultimate lifetime happiness.

What are you waiting for? The beach waits for no one!

Uzu can not wait to meet you tomorrow at block party in Union Square!!

This handsome angel (hehe because he’s far from a devil) is 3 years old and 85lbs of sweetness. And no, contrary to popular belief, you don’t need a huge space to have a “big” dog. So long as you’re willing to go out for walks and give them plenty of love they’ll be happy as a clam.

Uzu can be a little shy in new spaces with new people, but he has made leaps and bounds of progress. He loves exploring parks with his people or going for the occasional run while you bike ride. Inside he’s amazing in his crate and can lounge around independently or is down to play.

Sweet man has a $450 adoption fee due to his size AND is eligible for our Jindo Journey training stipend. His forever family will benefit from a $300 stipend towards their training to make everyone settle in and thrive long term.

Come one come all to Union Square tomorrow

Have you ever wanted a real live teddy bear, but not in the creepy way of that one movie? Well then Atom is your boy!

This unbelievably adorable miniature poodle is Atom - he’s around 8 years old and 11lbs. He was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Korea a few years ago then took some time to recoup and learn to trust again at our center.

Now he’s couch surfing with alumni in NYC! Atom loves having a big foster sibling, especially snuggling up for a good nap. His most notable skill is his ability to nap pretty much anywhere at any time of day. He does seem to get more confidence from having a canine sibling at his side, but with the right encouragement and consistency he’d be okay as an only pup too. He’s doing wonderfully in his crate training and coming out of his little shell. Luckily, Atom is a BIG fan of tasty snacks, so training with him will be fun and delicious.

Atom has been through a lot after his rescue, so we’re looking for an extra special adopter to spoil him rotten. Atom underwent orthopedic surgery on both hind legs to address patella issues, with successful healing and good surgical outcomes. He was treated for hypothyroidism in 2025, which responded beautifully to medication—his thyroid levels normalized, and medication was discontinued. The condition had caused some hair loss that improved significantly once treated. Atom also has a grade 3 heart murmur (early-stage mitral valve disease, MMVD Stage B1). His vet has evaluated his heart and determined he does not need medication at this time, though regular monitoring is recommended.

Go go go! Submit that application in our linktree and get an interview scheduled while you can! The first 30 minutes of every event is reserved for pre-approved adopters so don’t sleep on it.

Edit: adopted This lovely marshmallow is Haengbok! She’s 5 years old and 35lbs and yes she’s as soft as she looks.

Haengbok (행복) means happiness in Korean and her name definitely suits her very well. She was rescued during the Andong wildfires last year, where we joined other rescue teams to save animals from the flames. She has a burn scar on her side, but otherwise seems happy as a clam and well adjusted to her new life.

Girlie pop has been having a blast in foster care so far, and is quickly figuring out her feline foster sibling. With good direction from her foster parent, she’s been taking it slow and keeping a calm curiosity. Though she’s still getting the hang of crate training, Haengbok is sweet as pie inside. She loves getting attention and cuddling up near her humans.

Outside she’s just as easy and breezy as she is beautiful. Miss ma’am walks with a slack leash as she sniffs and explores the neighborhood. Her ears and tail flop as she walks and she always has the biggest Jindo smile. She is very keen of all the compliments she’s been getting as well!

Is this forever puppy face living rent free in your head? Let her live rent free in your actual home!

Sheeb alert! Waon Waon Waon (get it? Like a siren but that’s her name)

Waon is 1 year old and a very petite 16lbs! She’s definitely a Shiba and has put her Shiba stamp on that label with her signature Shiba scream when she gets excited. She is your typical witty, sassy, silly Shiba Inu!

Somehow this little girlie pop found her way to the Gyeongsang-do shelter, where our team pulled her for a brighter future. Even commonly sought after breeds like Shibas end up at the overcrowded shelters in South Korea - and even they face the euthanasia lists.

Lucky for Waon, she’s now in the states and is taking the streets by storm. The more comfortable this fox gets, the more silly and sassy she becomes! After taking a few days to decompress and observe the vibes of her foster home, she’s now screaming with excitement for walks and making every moment playful. She absolutely adores her big foster brother but could be independent too!

Waon is still working on her crate training a little, and needs some direction on a leash. When outside she is just too excited to keep it straight. With how witty she is though, training will definitely be fun and engaging for everyone~

Come one, come all to the block party!

If you’re new here you might not know, but our FAVORITE kinda dog is the little leg big head kind.

Cookie has got a big noggin’ and he’s actually using it for things! This dapper and inquisitive guy is 2 years old and 25lbs. He’s just as smart as he is cute and has been wowwing the whole neighborhood since his arrival.

This sweet little man was rescued from a life lived outdoors in a cold metal cage with no flooring. A small group of advocates visited him every day, checking on him and keeping him in good spirits, until they could finally take him to a better future. It took consistent pressure, but the ‘owner’ relinquished him willingly.

Now in foster care in the city, Cookie is continuing to live large (even with his smol legs). He is doing fantastic in the crate and potty training. He loves laying on anything plush and has definitely mastered the puppy dog eyes. Outside he is adventurous and playful! He needs a little help with walking in a straight line, but mainly because he’s just so excited.

We hope you get just as excited to meet this lovely bachelor! He’ll be making his debut this weekend at Block Party!!

Yes yes we know you’ve been waiting for this one 🙂‍↕️

Mira is a 4 year old, 9lb Coton de Tulear! Sweet girl was rescued during Operation Freedom Paws last year, where our Lucy’s Law coalition of rescue groups pulled over 300 dogs from an illegal puppy mill in Ganghwado. The conditions were nightmarish and it’s incredible to see these dogs with so much joy after what they’ve been through.

Mira can be a little shy and timid at first, but once she’s given time and space to warm up at her own pace she’ll be your bestest friend. She’s been working hard on crate training and potty training with her foster - and has even gotten the hang of off leash time in the park! (Special appearance from Pollo, another adoptable pup!)

Though small and very sweet, Mira needs a home willing to give her time and structure so she continues to live the happiest life she can lead. With continued work from her trainer, Mira will defy all odds and steal the hearts of many.

Run to that link in our bio and submit your application. We strongly encourage interviewing virtually before the event too! Don’t miss out!
