He realizado 68 obras de arte textil para el nuevo Parador de Ibiza. Son las piezas que ahora están en las habitaciones y suites, integradas en los cabeceros y en algún que otro rincón.
El encargo se ha desarrollado a partir de siete diseños diferentes: tres obras únicas y cuatro modelos pensados como obra seriada, con variaciones de color para adaptarse a las diferentes habitaciones.
Cuando trabajo en piezas únicas puedo explorar técnicas más complejas y un nivel de detalle mayor, mientras que en las obras seriadas tengo que plantear el diseño de otra forma, buscando un sistema que me permita repetirlo sin perder riqueza visual ni el carácter artesanal.
Todas las piezas están realizadas sobre tejido 100% de algodón, bordadas con lana y algodón, combinando distintas técnicas para crear líneas, volumen, textura y movimiento.
El Parador de Ibiza, es el número 99 de la red de y se encuentra en lo más alto de Dalt Vila, dentro del antiguo castillo, con vistas privilegiadas al Mediterráneo.

Participar en proyectos así siempre es un reto, pero también una alegría enorme, porque significa que todavía hay quienes confían en el arte y la artesanía.
