Time flies when you have fun. And we do have lots of fun.
Here I am in the #GruberBikeLimo for the first time after my ligament operation, and I am loving it.

Last MondayI had a follow up appointment with the Vet. It was as clear as glass, my ligament was torn beyond repair. The Vet will call the specialist to talk about a operation.
Tuesday the Vet called to let us know that there was a spot for me today. I just did not had the time to be nervous. It was all going so fast.
Today at 12:30 it was go time. The specialist explained everything to my humans and the nurse sedated me while I was in the arms of my human. The operation went perfect and my humans picked me up at the Vet's office at 17:00. That was after I cuddled with the nurses.
There is one thing no one had informed me about.
The shave my whole leg. It looks like a chicken leg now. See photo 2. I am afraid Teddy want's to nibble on my chickenleg.😳.
For now I am home and all spaced out from the meds.
I will be snoozing as only a beagle can. (Photo 3)

Last Wednesday I was patrolling in the yard when Teddy was busy barking her head ofwhile doing some zoomies.
At one point I wanted to join the action and within a few steps....... ouch!!!
I walked like a three legged dog. My human picked me up and brought me to my bench and gave me painkillers, I felt very sorry for myself, as you can see in photo 1.
Thursday first thing we went to the Vet lady and after an examination and a second opinion, it is as sure for 99 % my ligament in my left back leg has snapped.
I am on crate rest and pain meds.
And after 10 days I have to come back to the Vet for further examination, hoping the swelling is gone. And then they will decide about an operation or brace. My humans have already decided to do everything what is nescasary.
Video 1 is me Saturday in the #GruberBikeLimo. The human made a cozy bed for me to sit in and took me for a ride so I could have the wind blowing in my ears and all the good smells in my nose. I love to be the passenger princess.
In video 2 you see me wobble after I went peeing. You can see I use my tail for balance.
And photo 2 is me in my crate and you can tell I hate it there.😆😆. It is my save spot. I love it.

As you can see I was dogtired today after all the dance moves. That is why I decided to use Teddy as a pillow.

I have been back at the Vet for my x-rays.
The first photo is me being back from the Vet. Dog tired as you can see.
The second photo is me on the way to the Vet. I felt what was happening so I wanted to stay close to the human.
The third photo is an x-ray of my left knee, a.k.a. the biggest problem area. For people who know, they see the problems. Not only arthritis problems, but they saw a tear in the ligament. That is a big bummer.
The fourth photo is me being Hannibal Lecter when I got my first Librela shot. Even though I was still groggy from the anesthesia, the hu-dad did not want to risk the fingers of the Vet lady. As much as I want to say the Vet lady is mean for stinging me, I cant. She was really really nice and gentle with me!!
The fifth photo is Teddy sniffing me out, she asked where I have been. And said I must lay down on the couch and take a well deserved nap.
The sixth photo is me napping with my head stuffed behind a pillow and dreaming of running with Teddy.
So for now I get Librela and flexadin advanced to help me with the arthritis. I am forbidden to beagle wrestle with Teddy and jump of the couch. (The humans bought a doggy stair for me to walk off, embarresing)
The Vet lady will show my x-rays to a specialist to discuss if I can be operated on the tear in my ligament.
So the journey is ongoing.
The humans are doing everything and more to secure my well being and are glad to have a pet health ensurance for me and Teddy.

I have been to the vet lady today.
The hu-man made an appointment without consulting me first. I am not the greatest fan of the vet. I tend to be a diva when I am on the consulting table. I whine and aarrooo like they are torturing me. (This is before they touch me 🤣).
On topic, 2 super nice vet ladies examined me while the hu-man tried to keep me standing still. Quickly they felt the spot which leads to my discomfort.
My left knee on my backside is swollen and my lower back is a bit sore.
After the first inspection they asked me to show walk for them. I think they had never seen such a majestic beagle, who walks like a super model. The way I heard it, they said the hu-man limped because of his knee. He was stealing my thunder at the vet appointment. 😤
They draw some blood from me to determin what kind of anesthesia they have to use when I get x -rays.
(I already got the results of the bloodworks, it was good, nearly perfect).
Next week I will take the x-rays under sedation, and from there they will make a plan. For now I have some anti inflammatory medication to hopefully releave some pain.

I just wanna check in with you all.
In the last weeks I enjoyed winter and the snow.
I played with Teddy and had walkies with the humans.
On this photo I look like a flying beagle plowing through the snow. But as much I enjoyed the snow, my age (almost 13) is getting me to slow down. My humans think I have artritis in my hind paw.
It prevends me from rough housing with Teddy and it is nescesary to keep showing Teddy that I am the boss!
So now I am looking for something to ease the pain and help me to move like I am 7 again.
So if you have tips for me, please share!!!!
