WOW, what an atmosphere here tonight in Sheyenne to HONOR the All-Star Seniors in the annual Optimists Volleyball Game! The Red Team wins this one and GAME 2 is tomorrow night in Bismarck! Congratulations!
First and foremost, God is so faithful. The path He led me on throughout high school golf taught me to appreciate the game and realize that winning isn’t everything.
One year ago, I was devastated after finishing runner-up individually and falling short of a team state championship as well. Fast forward to November 2025, when I began attending Northview Church in Fargo. My life began to change, since November, I came to realization that whether I win or lose, Jesus will always be there for me regardless of being a champion or not.
This season, I played with a level of peace I had never experienced before. Our team had never been closer, and I was able to stay calm regardless of the outcome. After the final putt dropped yesterday, I felt relief, but just minutes later I was heartbroken when I learned our team lost in a tiebreaker. There are always “what ifs,” but what I’ll remember most is how blessed I was to compete alongside lifelong friends like Kyler, Silas and Stetsen who also wanted it just as badly as I did.
It’s hard to believe my high school career is over. Freshman year feels like yesterday. I’ll never forget the van rides, hotel stays, and especially Pinehurst.
Thank you to Coach Nathan Olson for believing in me as a 8th grader on JV and for everything he has done for the program. I’m also grateful to Coach Steen and Adam Van Raden. The confidence and support all three coaches gave me leading up to state, played a huge role in my performance.
Thank you to my parents for being there every step of the way, to my grandparents for sharing these special moments with me, and to my swing coach, Dale Helm, who has helped shape my game since I was 11 years old.
From dust storms to clear skies, North Dakota golf always kept things interesting. I’m proud to say I finished my high school career with 15 wins, a State Championship, ND Senior Athlete of the Year (Class A), and a Mr. Golf nomination. I am truly humbled, honored, and blessed.
This isn’t the end of my golf journey it’s just the beginning. I’m excited to continue my career at UMC and chase a conference championship in Crookston!

The GF Red River senior shot a final day 74 to win the State Tournament with a 2-day score of +3 (147).
Slide 3: Koerner sank huge birdie puts and hit great approach shots to build a lead in the final round and held on in the end to win by 1 stroke.
Koerner had mixed emotions as a State Champion after the tournament because the Roughriders tied with Minot for the Team Championship, but lost the tiebreaker.

WOW, words cannot describe how much change has transpired in my life these past 6 months. I’ve become a better man, and last night I took a long-awaited next step in faith. It still feels surreal, because change is hard, but nothing is impossible with God.
From having a bad swearing problem to completely revamping my vocabulary and using words of wisdom and love to lift others up, I’ve been blessed by this transformation and by the amazing role models around me. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to publicly declare my love for Jesus and share such a special moment on Senior Night with my youth leaders and close friends I’ve met along the way.
It meant the absolute world to have my mentor, best friend, and brother in Christ, Jax, be a part of this night we both will never forget. I love you, man you are such a blessing to have in my life.
Northview has changed my life, and actually CHOOSING for myself the church I had been seeking for so long has been so important. I’m excited for this new chapter, as the old book has closed and a new one has begun.
Years of guilt, sin, and shame are gone because of Jesus, and I’m so thankful to everyone who has supported my journey.
I also want to thank the amazing lead pastor, Dave Leedahl, for delivering messages that truly hit deep every Sunday and helping me clearly understand God’s message. I also want to thank Pastor Dbo and Riley for making this possible and for being so welcoming the first time I walked into youth group as the kid from Grand Forks. Love you guys.

Thank you West Fargo Basketball for the greatest moments of my photography career these past two years, this team, and this group of seniors is irreplaceable, and it’s incredibly heartbreaking that there will never be another team like this. The players, and Coach Palczewski thank you for these memories, and PACKER NATION, don’t lose pride it’s only a matter of time before you all get another title.

WOW I’m absolutely thrilled to announce my academic and athletic commitment to the University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles. I want to thank first and foremost God. Thanks to my friends, family and teammates as well for pushing me to become a better version of myself every single day. Thank you to Coach Brad Heppner for believing in my ability to play at a high level. Coach Olson from Red River has been a mentor and someone I look up to not just as a coach but a leader, and my swing coach Dale Helm for the countless hours we spend in the shop or on the course together! AS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, I chose UMC so I can continue to capture moments to last a lifetime, it won’t be as often as it is this year, but Coach Heppner has been very supportive through this process.
