Started off strong and feeling unstoppable… then mile 6 hit and my legs had other plans. 😅 Cue the cramps. But shoutout to my trusty tablets;popped one and they carried me straight through to the finish.
And that misty rain? Honestly? Immaculate. Felt amazing the whole way. ☔
The best part wasn’t the miles though,it was the people.
Ran into SO many of my running friends out on the course and again after, and then my niece surprised me at the finish line. Did not expect it. Made my whole day. 🥹
Most of all, this one hit different. Memorial Day is about remembering the men and women who gave everything for the freedom we get to enjoy,even something as simple as a rainy morning run with people you love. Grateful doesn’t even cover it. 🇺🇸
