Wir unterhalten uns mit Menschen, deren Alltag geprägt ist von Drogen, Alkohol & Bandenkriminalität. Ich halte ein kleines Mädchen auf dem Arm, das mich immer wieder ganz feste drückt. Sie streichelt mir durchgehend durch meine Haare, freut sich, als ich ihr mein Cap aufsetze. Wir machen Späße darüber, dass es jetzt ihr gehört. Ich bin abgelenkt, während sich Marko, der uns an diesen Ort mitgenommen hat & sich seit Jahren engagiert, mit einer Frau unterhält. Ich bin so abgelenkt von dem kleinen Mädchen auf meinem Arm, dass ich anfangs gar nicht richtig zuhöre. Plötzlich fängt diese Frau bitterlich an zu weinen. Ihr Sohn ist verschwunden. Seit 2 Monaten. Sehr wahrscheinlich hat ihn die Gang geschnappt. Sehr wahrscheinlich wird er nie wieder nach Hause kommen. Er wurde mehrmals gewarnt, hat nicht aufgehört Menschen zu bedrohen & auszurauben. Nun musste er wahrscheinlich den Preis bezahlen. Vor mir steht eine Mutter, gebrochen. Ich möchte am liebsten gehen. All das ist nicht für Kinderohren bestimmt. Doch mir wird klar, das gehört hier zum Alltag.
Es ist nur eine Situation von vielen an diesem Tag.
Abends sind Lukas & ich zurück in Kapstadt. Wir sitzen im The Lawns zum Sundowner. Heile Welt. Der Kontrast könnte nicht größer sein. Zwei Orte, direkt nebeneinander & trotzdem liegen Welten dazwischen. Wir reden kaum miteinander, hängen unseren Gedanken nach. Wenn wir uns unterhalten, geht es um all die Eindrücke, die heute auf uns eingeprasselt sind.
Wir ziehen an diesem Abend nicht mehr weiter. Wir sind beide müde und fühlen uns überreizt. Als ich im Bett liege, schreibe ich meine Gedanken auf. Danach kann ich etwas abschalten & einschlafen.
Der nächste Tag beginnt wie ein typischer Kapstadttag für uns. Joggen in Sea Point, Matcha hinterher. Danach zum Strand. Sonnen. Alles wie immer. & trotzdem betrachte ich an diesem Tag alles mit anderen Augen. Südafrika ist so viel mehr als die kleine Blase in Kapstadt. & wir alle sollten mehr hinsehen. #Kapstadt #township
