Robert Lopez, formerly of and now full time at Cochinita &Co started his wildly popular fermented tea company that eventually found its way on store shelves at Whole Foods, Central Market/HEB and Randalls to name a few. His experience is now utilized to run the packaged goods line helping Cochinita & Co create “grocery ready” goods for distribution.
The kombucha industry as a whole hasn't been terribly supportive of each other. It's competitive and there's pretty much no collaboration. I hope this gesture begins to change things a little. If you are a Houston business (especially brewers) I will go one step further and give you one of our cultures (we have 200gal of kombucha available too) so you can truly become the new custodians of Kickin' in Houston. The cooler is filled with the remaining bottles. That's all we have left. It's mostly Wide-Eyed and Blueberry Mojito. We put out our labels in case you want something to remember us by too.
We will announce hours for next week on Monday. We probably will not have any kombucha left. But everything else will be for sale (equipment/furniture/odds & ends).
