Hearing the roar of the crowd on the stage after missing my second attempt still gives me goosebumps feeling so grateful to be apart of the Oceania community and family, everyone uplifts everyone and together we are stronger.
My favourite video of the year. My heaviest lift at my first international competition for AW. I celebrated too early and it turned out to be a no lift—but I still celebrate myself. Proud of what I can do and honoured to compete in the gold and green.
118kg clean and jerk - a 7kg PB and an 11kg PB total. So many reasons this lift meant the world to me, but hitting a 210kg total to qualify for my first World Championships was something truly special 🫶🏽
No doubt about this as my favourite lift of the year because 100 snatch at 58 is crazy and something I both thought was impossible but also maybe possible

In Australian weightlifting history, that Sinclair is second only to the incredible who has lived and breathed weightlifting full time since first picking up a barbell at school in Fiji.
I’ve certainly achieved more than I fathomed was possible thinking back to this time last year.
In recent months, I’ve been contemplating the value of pursuing weightlifting at this level.
I believe sport should enrich the lives of those who participate in it. I’m proud to be a part of the who place this as a primary goal in their 2032 High Performance Strategy. It’s been a pleasure to see the opening of the new home of SASI and the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing in Mile End, just a stone’s throw from the Adelaide CBD (incredibly convenient when your workplace is in the CBD!).
I’m grateful to the AWF for funding to international events for myself and where possible. And to the numerous others that put in to make the financial load more manageable. It’s not just the events, but the training camps, time, energy and savings/loss of wages siphoned into passion for sport that makes the pursuit of one’s best effort possible.

So when a company like is willing to get behind the to get behind me, I’m very grateful.
Weightlifting is at the forefront of my mind, pretty much all day everyday. It’s the driver for a lot of the decisions I make. And it will be while I choose to pursue my best in sport.
In the springboarding years towards 2032 the are rallying corporate Australia to get behind athletes like myself so we have a better chance of competing against full time professionals (in the true sense of the word) on the world stage. It’s a pretty cool initiative and one I’m honoured to be a part of.
