Going from blonde to brunette is rarely a one-and-done appointment. For this appointment we booked a 4+ hour transformation slot, we filled her hair multiple times to rebuild warmth, richness, and depth before applying her final brunette formula.
We started with Redken Shades EQ on dry hair using a warm base, then filled again at the sink slightly darker each time, processing for 20 minutes between applications. We finished with our final Oliga Calura level 5 formula 🤎
The reason for all the filling? To avoid the hair looking dull, muddy, or hollow — we want dimension and longevity.
It’s also important to know that major colour changes like this will fade, especially when starting this blonde. Brunette transformations do require maintenance to keep them looking rich and healthy.
Just something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about going darker — it can absolutely be done, but it’s a process xx
