Here are my 3 biggest tips when traveling to GLACIER NATIONAL PARK! 🥾☀️

1. DOWNLOAD OFFLINE MAPS of the entire park, area of where you are staying, and hikes you plan on doing. Google maps and all trails are my favorite for this. There is almost zero cell service in glacier or even in the surrounding area. Find the nearest ranger station to access Wi-Fi if you’re really in a pinch.
2. Get your “going to the sun road” pass as early as possible. If you can’t secure a pass you can still enter the park before 6AM and use going to the sun road all day. I was STRESSED about this and it actually ended up being just fine. Most of the actual hikes we did we didn’t even need to use going to the sun road.
3. BEAR SPRAY!! You need bear spray in this park no matter how short or long the hike! Do some research ahead of time on what to do if you encounter a bear. Luckily I only saw one bear when I was here, it wasn’t on a hike, and the park rangers had the situation under control.
For sure do tons of research before going to this park. I’d rank it pretty low on my list of NP’s you can just randomly show up to without researching quite a bit before hand! It’s such a gem and worth the time preparing! 💚
