Something to note is that my perspective of living and traveling around Guatemala is from a place privilege. I like showing the nice and beautiful places in Guatemala City and all over the country because this is the side of Guatemala most foreigners don't get to see. This is the side of Guatemala I didn't get to see until I got here.
Not everyone in Guatemala can afford to go to fancy shopping malls or restaurants. Some people in Guatemala live in extreme poverty which is why we often hear in the media about the migrant crisis. Others have left or still want to leave because they live in neighborhoods that are very unsafe.
So my videos are not to discredit the problems in Guatemala. We know about these problems because we hear about them every week in the media. In the United States there is a homelessness crisis and not everyone can afford to live in certain neighborhoods or eat at nice restaurants. Unfortunately, there seems to be inequities almost everywhere now.
The media makes us think everyone wants to leave Guatemala and everything is just so bad here. Not everyone wants to leave Guatemala and even when they do leave for economic reasons, they often want to go back to their home country.
There are a lot of good things about this country and a variety of cultures and ways of life in Guatemala. So my perspective isn't necessarily typical and especially because Guatemala City can be much different than many other places in the country.
I just always want to do my best to share the side of Guatemala we don't often hear about. I love it here and I'll continue to share more videos from all over Guatemala!

I love combining Liverpool FC with travel. I have the best time traveling the world in a Liverpool shirt and meeting supporters everywhere! It was no exception in Egypt when I wore my shirt and everyone wanted to talk to me about Salah! 🤩
The Egyptian media went crazy when they saw this photo I posted from Egypt in 2018. Then I met Mo Salah only a few weeks later in the USA (swipe left) and I had the chance to tell him that I was the girl traveling around the world in his shirt. He looked up at me from the crowd of fans and said “oh really?” 🤩😭
If you don’t believe me then ask my friend. We were there together when I first met him and she deserves the credit for the photo of him signing the shirt. That’s also her phone he’s holding. 🤩
Anyway, I really don’t care about looking cute on my travels like a lot of travelers on Instagram. I would rather wear a Liverpool shirt everywhere I go and meet locals and meet supporters. That’s what travel is all about for me. 😆

I was here in Tikal recently & I'll share more on my stories & start posting again regularly.
A lot of stuff happened over the last few weeks that created a lot of stress in my life. I decided to take a mental health break & a break from from social media. I turned off a lot of apps on my phone & it felt incredible to not receive hundreds of notifications & to just focus on my health.
I'm feeling so much better now! I'm excited for the Liverpool match today & I'm excited to spend Thanksgiving here in Guatemala! 🤣 My friend just flew here to Guatemala & we are spending Thanksgiving in Antigua (the most beautiful city I've ever seen in Latin America).
Then this weekend I'm hiking volcano Acatenango which sits just right next to Fuego which is a very active volcano. This is my 3rd time hiking Acatenango & it is the most difficult but best hike I've ever done anywhere in the world. I can't wait to see the lava flow. 🤩 🌋

I spent 4 days road tripping in Iceland & 2 days in Reykjavik. A lot of people share information about how incredibly beautiful this country is & I completely agree. I have a lot of content to share from seeing the active volcano eruption, glaciers, giant ice, incredible waterfalls & more.
I also wanted to share about the local culture here in Reykjavik & meeting the Liverpool supporters. This was one of the safest cities I've ever been to & I thought the people were incredibly friendly.
I've been friends with on Twitter for years & he picked me up from the airport & invited me to his house to meet his wife & to see a few of the Liverpool books he authored with another guy named Arnie.
Mummi & Arnie are also the mastermind behind the 20 year old website. It was really cool to finally meet these guys!
Anyway, if you're a Liverpool supporter who ends up traveling to Iceland i highly recommend connecting with the group. You'll get to meet a fun group of locals, possibly drink a lot (like me) 🤣 & learn more about the local culture than most other tourists.
Also, if you visit Reykjavik don't forget to check out this rainbow street which represents Iceland's friendliness & acceptance towards to LGBTQ community. You can easily find this street when you see the famous, tall cathdral in the skyline (just behinde). This street leads up to the cathedral. 🤩
