Kennys Bookshop in 2016. It's been nice to look back at photos of the shop 10 years ago, and to see some of our friends past and present who visited that year, including Donal Ryan, Mike McCormack, Johnny Duhan, Pat McGrath, Kevin Higgins, Mary O'Malley, Little John Nee and Pierre Josse. It was also the year we gave away a Kennys book hamper on the Late Late Show, to everybody in the audience!

JOHN QUINN, 1941-2026

John Quinn was an accomplished author of many novels, memoirs, children’s books. He was an outstanding broadcaster, a maker of live-in-the-memory radio programmes, a sensitive interviewee; an erudite man of culture. But most of all he was a dear friend, a gentleman who always left you feeling better after meeting him, a great conversationalist whose soothing voice was almost hypnotic, a great letter writer who seemed to get busier as he got older. His death has left us diminished.
