Le 17 novembre, les plus grands tubes de Johnny Hallyday seront revisités par 16 artistes sur l'album hommage ''On a tous quelque chose de Johnny''. Parmi eux? Kendji, qui s'attaque au périlleux et puissant ''L'envie''. Garou, Nolwenn Leroy, Benjamin Biolay, Amel Bent... Ils ont tous quelque chose de Johnny! Pour la première fois en près de 60 ans de carrière, Johnny Hallyday va confier ses classiques à 16 artistes populaires. Réalisé et arrangé par Yarol Poupaud, son directeur musical et collaborateur de longue date, l'album de reprises "On a tous quelque chose de Johnny" sortira le 17 novembre dans les bacs. Une belle façon de faire patienter les fans du Taulier en attendant son 52ème album, qu'il enregistre depuis des mois tout en menant son combat contre le cancer, et de faire découvrir les tubes emblématiques de son répertoire à une nouvelle génération. Au programme: le puissant "Ma gueule" revisité par Garou, "Gabrielle" par Thomas Dutronc, "Requiem pour un fou" à la sauce Florent Pagny, "La musique que j'aime" chanté par Louane, "Que je t'aime" repris par Amel Bent... Bref, il y en aura pour tous les goûts! Et Johnny en personne a approuvé chacun des morceaux. « J'adore ce projet, nous avons pris beaucoup de plaisir avec Laeticia à s'y impliquer artistiquement et ça a été une réelle joie pour moi de le superviser. Je respecte et remercie infiniment les artistes présents sur ce disque » a-t-il confié sur Twitter.

Cette semaine, c'est la participation de Kendji à ce disque hommage qui est dévoilée. Le chanteur de 21 ans, devenu un phénomène avec sa pop gipsy, a délaissé un temps son univers ensoleillé pour se frotter à "L'envie", titre culte écrit et composé par Jean-Jacques Goldman en 1986. « Pour moi c'est une grande chanson parce que je la connais depuis tout petit. J'ai grandi avec et je l'ai chanté avec mon père » révèle Kendji, interrogé en studio sur le choix de ce morceau. ⤵️
