Did it feel relatively adjacent to the DMV? Yes. Was there a gift shop? Also yes! And somehow it was perfect.
It was the most magical, fated day I think I’ve ever had. It rained briefly in the morning (they DO say that’s good luck) before turning into a perfect spring day. We picked me up a bouquet at the grocery store in the morning and got ready. We did little vows off the cuff at home on the couch. As we were leaving for the courthouse, Brett got a notification on his phone from the place where we had our very first date (😳STAWP). And as we left the courthouse after the legalities, a whole field trip of kids cheered for us 🥹
Our real anniversary is in September, but I’m always going to want to celebrate what a special day we had on May 2.
