I have a Rare Disease called Friedreichs ataxia. It’s a genetic disorder that affects my balance coordination, along with a plethora of other symptoms.
FA affects everyone very differently.
One of the more serious symptoms, cardiomyopathy, is something I’m very fortunate to not have to worry about constantly. I still see a cardiologist every 1-2 years to make sure everything is functioning like it should.
last week I spent the day at the Cleveland clinic, getting testing done, followed by an appointment with my cardiologist.
He told me my results and my appointment was overall really boring for him. There’s nothing to be concerned about. this is the best news I could’ve ever received ❤️
There’s always some underlying anxiety about my progression and what may be happening that I don’t know about… So no news is incredible news and incredibly rare. 🦓
