I’m sitting in a parking lot waiting for an appointment and honestly had no idea it was Earth Day until my calendar reminded me lol. But it sent me down a rabbit hole of old photos and I just reflected on where I’m blessed to be able to go now.
I never in my entire life thought I would get to see the places I’ve seen. There was a time where traveling the world was not even a dream because it felt that far out of reach. I think that’s part of why I became a photographer. I never want to forget a single moment. I never want to take any of it for granted.
So when I tell you I cry every single time I travel, I mean it. 😂 ask all my friends + family. The ocean here in Texas. New York. Disneyland at 30 years old with my kids for the first time. I just see the beauty in all of it and I just cannot hold it in lol.
It wasn’t until my 30s that I really started seeing the world and that is okay and it IS INCREDIBLE! Social media makes us feel pressured that we aren’t doing enough. Or we’re not going on these grand trips all the time, so we must be failing. But that is not reality. 🤎
I know everything feels so heavy right now and there is so much more weight in our feeds than there used to be. So today I just want you to stop for a second and think about a beautiful place you have been, even if it is a camping trip an hour from home sitting around a bonfire under the stars.
This earth is worth celebrating. And so is your ability to find the beauty in it. Love y’all.
