Four years ago my life fell apart. Underworld was a journey within, to see what I could create from the wreckage — with my body, my breath, my hands, my voice, my words. The album is a resurrection.
Each song is tuned to a different chakra and invites healing, growth, transformation. The lyrics are spells, mantras, prayers. The bass is my magic tool — repetitive, meditative, hypnotic. Low frequencies stimulate the vagus nerve and the rhythm entrains your brainwaves. It’s science, it’s a meditation, it’s medicine. All while keeping it groovy 🌀
It is a lot different than my first album. Intentionally so. I will always keep evolving as an artist. It would kill me to stay the same. And I do not try to control what I create or contort to a trend, I only show up to honor the pulse of creation that comes through me 🙏🏼 But, my music will always be psychedelic, it will always be a journey into the soul.
