Day 1 - Col Raiser
Think of your core like a canister: the pelvic floor is the base, the diaphragm is the lid, and the wall wrapping all the way around is your Transversus Abdominis (TVA) - your deepest abdominal muscle.
When you pressurize an exhale, the TVA concentrically contracts and narrows, kind of like the band hugging you inward.
When The Stack is aligned (ribcage over pelvis/ diaphragm over pelvic floor) and you inhale 360 degrees into the band, the TVA eccentrically contracts - lengthening and expanding in all directions.
The technical term for all of this is intra-abdominal pressure (IAP): a balanced, three-dimensional expansion through the trunk that helps regulate pressure, support, and stability. The band is so helpful to feel it.
