It is inspired by fresh spring leaves โ soft, lively, and calm at the same time. Realised me that summer is coming also.
For this dial, I chose Wakaba-iro as base color. Because I wanted this piece to have that fresh but quiet presence. Something with color and personality, but still refined and calm.
The red accents came from the azaleas blooming in my Japanese garden at my atelier in Kyoto. Seeing those flowers in full bloom against the spring greenery gave me this idea.
I wanted to take that feeling from the garden and bring it into this watch in simple and thoughtful way. Traditional Japanese green, strong touch of red, and a small seasonal scene turned into something wearable.

The 36mm is my revival of the golden age of 1960s 36mm watches. Not as simple reproduction, but as piece shaped through handwork, craftsmanship, and character.
I wanted to capture the elegance and timeless proportions of that era, then reinterpret them through my own vintage-aging process. After 10 years of planning, 4 years of production and refining the details, I can finally present this piece with confidence.
โ ABOUT THE NEW LOGO
This version features my newer Japanese logo.
The logo is now written in hiragana rather than katakana. The pronunciation remains the same, but the feeling is different.
Katakana feels sharper and more angular, while hiragana carries softer and more classic impression that felt closer to the mood of this watch.
I wanted the dial to feel more naturally Japanese, while still keeping the quiet elegance of a vintage-inspired design.
Together with the updated luminous details, this version has a warmer and more refined neo-vintage character.

Purple can easily become too flashy or too much. But after coming back to Japan, I found new aging techniques that allowed me to finish it in a really beautiful way.
Too much aging ruins the beauty of purple color, and too little aging feels too flashy. After many tries, I finally could find the right balance.
My interest in purple grew rapidly after moving back to Japan, especially Kyoto. In Japan, purple has been a special color for more than 1,000 years, and in the rank system established in 603 CE, purple was the highest color.
โ ABOUT "KYO-MURASAKI"
This watch is inspired by color calledใไบฌ็ดซใ
Kyoto was the original capital of Japan, and Kyo Murasaki has a more classical and traditional feeling to me. It was also used to distinguish Kyoto purple from Edo Murasaki. Compared with Edo Murasaki, which has more blue tone, Kyo Murasaki has more red tone, warmer feeling, and more elegant character.
โ OTHER DETAILS
That is why this faded brownish purple was the perfect choice for this watch. The bezel was originally just black, and it took 2 months to fade into this beautiful color. It is not just faded, but has a real patina. You will see nice gradation from darker to lighter and mottled uneven color.
I also chose tarnished gold cobra hands for this piece. Normal Mercedes hands felt too boring and did not match this watch. This combination gave the watch much more character.

Garnet dial with tarnished gold pocket watch inspired hands at the center, paired with a solid and thick Oyste rbracelet.
A perfect balance between delicacy and diver-level toughness.
Bezel color is nicely matched to Garnet stone. And also little fading and scratched bezel is great combination with texture surface of Garnet.
This Garnet has really nice sparkles all over. When light hits it, it shines beautifully.
However, the surface is not mirror-polished. It has the natural texture of real stone, so the shine never feels too flashy or excessive.

I can use better looking box from China. I mean they do outstanding work recently so quality is also nice but itโs soulless. So I use ใๆก็ฎฑใ โKiri-Bakoโ box which is traditional box for keep Samurai armor โYoroiโor expensive dishes. Over 1,000 years of history in japan and still using it. Mine is made in local town in Tokyo, Japan. And They do this business for over 150 years. I want you to know whatโs Japanese traditions looks like and support Japanese small business too as much as I can.
โ Letters
And yes, my writing is not that great. And itโs better to use prints for gurantee/thanks letters. But I want to keep in mind that appreciation for all clients and orders. Iโm working so hard everyday but I cannot do this without you guys. So I push myself to handwriting it to remind myself.
Again, Special thanks to my brother. We did similar almost a year ago and both improved many things and grown up.
