Here are some updates of our work. Great examples of RE posters, science work and Art. We have been making sculptures using wire and then applying mod roc. The messiest unit I’ve ever taught in my life, but the sculptures looked quite nice in the end. What do you think? Also, how do I get rid of acrylic black paint from my trousers?! 🤦🏼♀️

Time is flying, we’re already heading towards the end of week 2 of Summer 1 term.
I have been busy as usual but here are a few updates. History display has been updated with the first two lessons of Scots and Picts, the new topic in our history this year. On the next picture, some amazing work presentation from my incredible pupil. Finally, our sunflowers are growing and will soon be ready to be planted in the memory of our lovely staff member we tragically lost last April.

What a busy week, what a term! Anyone else feels totally and utterly exhausted???
We have had a busy week, trying to catch up on finishing the curriculum. Had to say goodbye to our cute ducklings, very inquisitive and bold group of three, they’ll be missed.
This week, we completed our prints inspired by our artist -Naum Gabo and we linked them to our history unit-Ancient Greece. I think the prints look ace and the print of Homer himself looks superb too.
In English, it was Shakespeare’s week and we looked at Macbeth. Children absolutely loved it and we drew our own witches and wrote a poem. There was some drama too and the acting blew me away!

He’s called Kindness Kangaroo and my children absolutely love him. They decide who gets it next and why and they even started writing little speeches on the whiteboards before announcing the next person in front of the whole class. Cuteness overload!
Also, it’s the only soft toy I’m allowing children to take onto the playtimes outside. Now, they’ve asked for Positive Parrot to reward resilience. Any nice soft toy parrots recommendations?

Today, we have welcomed a new member to our Beavers Class- Behaviour Beaver. Children in my class can get it for a duration of one session for positive behaviour and attitude to learning. It’s a nice addition to our class Presentation Penguin, given for excellent presentation in books. We are thinking of adding Kindness Kangaroo as well to our class family. What can I say, we’re obsessed with using alliteration for names 🤣🤣🤣
