✔️ 360 ALLSTARS — easily one of the highlights of the day. Think basketball tricks, breakdancing, acrobatics, drumming and incredible athleticism all wrapped into one high-energy performance.
✔️ Goupil & Kosmao — a hilarious magic and puppetry performance that had us both laughing. Full of surprises, chaos and clever storytelling.
✔️ Wizard Academy with magician Ron Pearson — where we learned actual magic tricks using everyday household items and brought home a few secrets of our own.
✔️ Festival treats, snacks and wandering the grounds.

I thought I would go right back to work after Wyatt was born. In fact, the plan was to set up a studio on our house to continue co-hosting on my morning radio show while mothering that first year.
Then he was born and all those plans went out the window. I instantly knew I wanted to stay with him forever 😊(my radio show ended up being cancelled anyway, so it all worked out 😄).
You truly don't know how you're going to feel until you get there.
I knew I still wanted to work, be creative and contribute financially.
I had all these things I loved to do, but it seemed there was no job that covered it and offered flexibility around a stay-at-mom schedule.
Then a wise friend (you know who you are 😊) said to me, 'if there's no position that fits, create it'.
..and here we are. 😊
The dream is them. It's running our house, our life and getting to share about it online.

I do it for Mother’s Day, but you can obviously do this anytime. Treat yourself to a night away at a hotel and do whatever you want. Be productive, or don’t. Read - or don’t.
Relax in the way you want to relax.
For me, I planned out my time because I wanted to maximize it.
I booked a massage ahead of time, did a diy facial in my room, ordered room service, watched tv, worked, had a glorious sleep and then woke up, had a long coffee, meditated, worked some more, got ready, and went home to my family.
Taking care of yourself is taking care of your kids. I truly believe that. 🫶

The first time I held our babies.
The first drives home.
The tiny outfits.
The sleepy newborn stretches.
The wagging tails walking through our front door for the very first time.
So many versions of our family began in these moments.
Motherhood has changed me in a million ways - stretched me, softened me, exhausted me, healed parts of me I didn’t know needed healing. And through all of it, these people (and pups) became my whole world.
If I could freeze time anywhere, it would probably be inside these memories for just a little longer. 🤍

I started doing this a few years ago - Ryan knows the drill. Just tell him where I want to go, and he books it. Best gift ever - and then coming home to just be with the kids with NO responsibilities is the second gift.
In years past, I’ve done a night away with friends, but this year I’m flying solo, and I’m SO excited. I’ve got my whole time planned out already. 😄
The next day, I roll in for Mother’s Day brunch at home and get the whole day with my favourite people in the whole world. I’m telling ya - this is the way to do it.

Before we start using it more as a family, I wanted to feel confident navigating it myself.

Our son asked for a strawberry cake with a 3 on it. Challenge accepted!
Cut out the number on poster board and stick the painter's tape on the top and bottom with a tab peak for you to hold the number.
Place on the cake and sprinkle around it. Use a little paint brush to dust off sprinkles on the number.
Pull it off.
I was going to do fresh strawberries, but it seemed like too much work. 😅 These ones are edible!
