Once youâre on set in front of the camera you slowly start to realise how hard it can be to keep up a good posture over longer periods of time and especially fashion posings can be a little more advanced đ¤ After a few minutes of posing you slowly start to realise âthis is gonna be a looong sessionâ. Depends on the setting, but your knees potentially hurt, your back aches, your muscles are shaking, simply because youâre doing something your body is not used to do. Itâs simple: There is no shortcut, you have to get fit. Skinny doesnât equal fit. Being strong does đŞ I encourage regular exercise with your own body weight or weightlifting. 3. Not listening to your photographer: The more experience they have, the more you can usually learn from them. Of course you should be prepared and bring your own posings/ideas to the set (especially for client shoots this is crucial) but donât forget to listen to the âmasterâ in front of you. They see you, they guide you, they usually know which kind of posings work for the final outcome you both desire and/or your body type. I met some extremely talented photographers who changed my perception of aesthetics and photo compositions just by listening to them!
