Today is the Aradhana of Pujyashri Chitsukhendra Saraswati #Shankaracharya Swamigal, the 35th Peethadipathi of Shri #Kanchi #Kamakoti Peetham. He attained mukti in the Sahya mountain area on Ashada Sukla Shashti in the cyclic year Dhatu (737 CE).
A unique feature of this ancient temple is that the deities in the Garbhagriha are enshrined directly above a sacred well.
Upon arrival, His Holiness was received with traditional honours by the temple authorities and devotees. After entering the temple, His Holiness performed pradakshina (circumambulation) around the sanctum and witnessed the deeparadhana.

Upon entering the temple premises, His Holiness first had darśan of Sri Venkateswara Swami (Sri Vishnu) and performed Puṣpāñjali and Dīpārādhana for the presiding deity.

Further, His Holiness circumambulated the major shrines and also paid visit to Naivedya Śālā, observing the sacred pātrās used for preparing and offering naivedyam to the deities, and also to the temple’s Pūjā Hall.
