[NEW] Matcha Choco Crookie ($5.70)
Crookie is actually a cross between croissant and cookie if you don't already know ๐ช๐ฅ. This one here had a slight crunch from the matcha cookie at the top of the croissant, and you can expect to find matcha white choc chip fillings within the croissant!
[NEW] Pollo Asado ($5.10)
Mexican-style grilled chicken paired with zesty fresh salsa, crisp romaine lettuce, and a touch of creamy mayo. Chicken was tender and great for those looking for a more savoury option!

Interesting pairing as I'd never have expected this combination to come together!

Ooh there were prominent chocolate & coffee flavours in their cream within the croissant, and I can definitely imagine this being really good after being re-heated, if you get to enjoy the crispy flaky layers!

A super cool croissant topped with a matcha cookie and filled with more matcha cookie dough inside ๐๐ As a matcha purist, I would've preferred a stronger matcha taste as this leaned more towards a creamy green tea, but otherwise a good choice for those looking for something unique!! ๐๐

Lots of refreshingly sour notes from the pico de gallo โ a slightly sour and spicy (like tom yum!!) choice for those who want something new ๐๐

New Year, New Bakes. Was recently gifted this set of bakes by to try!
I tried the Pollo Asado, Kiwi Prosciutto, and Matcha Choco Crookie. Kamome Bakery aims to serve Japanese flavours with a twist, and that is evident from these interesting flavours. I enjoyed the Matcha Choco Crookie the most - there was a generous amount of matcha cream in the croissant which was not too sweet and tasted very satisfying. I enjoyed the Pollo Asado as well. The fresh salsa added a nice crunch and tasted very refreshing due to its high water content. It complemented the grilled chicken perfectly. The Kiwi Prosciutto is a novel combination of sweet and savoury, but the kiwi was not as sweet as I wished.
Overall, I really enjoyed the quality and novelty of the bakes here. They also have 2 more outlets - one in Novena and one in Paragon. Def check them out if you are in the area!
