If you’re dreaming of the English countryside…🦢

The Cotswolds are one of the most beautiful and quintessential places you’ll ever have the chance to visit. Daylesford is a must, and one of the first places we take our guests on our design retreats.

We began visiting many years ago when introduced me to the area. Quickly a favorite getaway and just 2 hours from London, it’s one of the most wonderful places to slow down and reconnect with nature. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Daylesford.

For a full guide, just comment COTSWOLDS and I will DM you a link ◡̈ and be sure to follow along myself and for more inspiration and info about ticket releases for our next trip!
Coming home with the fullest heart. 🐑

There’s just something about this place that has stayed with me from the very first visit… and I still pinch myself that I get to return year after year.

Maybe it’s the rolling green hills dotted with sheep, the centuries-old stone story book cottages, the land, the people, the slow mornings soaking up the beauty of. Maybe it’s the happy little pops yellow in the buttercups, or the way every detail feels deeply considered and beautifully lived in and all-together, inspiring.

What began as a love for this place has turned into one of the greatest gifts of my life: gathering around tables with incredible new friends, wandering tiny villages, sharing stories over long dinners, treasure hunting through antique shops, discovering beauty in the smallest details and creating space for connection and inspiration in such a meaningful corner of the world.

These retreats are truly a labor of love, with so much intention poured into every detail behind the scenes, and I never take for granted how lucky I am to return here again and again… especially alongside and everyone who trusted us enough to experience it with us.

A little love letter to the English countryside and all the magic it continues to hold. Of course, getting dressed up with your best friend in a field isn’t bad either. 🤍
I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to head back one of my favorite places in just a few days… 🇬🇧

Earlier this week, we shared how a simple detail found on our travels can stay with us and finds its way into our designs.

We are thought it only right to some more of our favorite collected memories here and how travel really is our favorite source of inspiration. 📸

There’s always a story before a space comes to life.

This one began on a quiet street in London. I was looking at my phone and happend to see the small mosaic underfoot. I snapped a photo and tucked it away.

Months later it became the foundation for an entire bathroom remodel at one of projects. Reimagined as a custom floor, layered with intention and paired with a vintage inspired piece we’re transforming into a vanity with a sense of history.

This is how we design. We notice. We gather. We translate.

A color pulled from stone informs the tile. The tile informs the cabinetry. The cabinetry softens into aged brass and patinaed finishes. Every decision speaking to the next - until the space feels cohesive, considered and entirely its own.

The most beautiful projects are the ones where the client trusts us, the vision is held all the way through and where each detail is given the space to matter.

Because thoughtful design isn’t just about what you see... it’s about what was considered long before it ever came to life.

This… stuff? Oh. Okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you.

You go into your home and you select, I don’t know… something like this mirror… because it feels pretty or vintage or collected.

But what you don’t know is that this is not just a mirror.

It’s hand-carved. Gilded. Finished decades - sometimes centuries ago - by artisans who understood scale, proportion and light long before it was ever distilled into a trend.

And you’re also blithely unaware of the fact that it moved through galleries and estates… and the hands of people who knew exactly what they were looking at… until eventually, it filtered down into the market where you found it.

However, that mirror represents millions of dollars… and countless jobs.

You call it timeless. But that’s not by accident.

And it’s almost comical how you think you simply picked something up along the way… when in fact, that mirror - with that look… that patina… that perfectly imperfect reflection was chosen for you. By people who have spent their lives understanding exactly why something like this belongs in a room… from a pile of stuff.

Or something like that. 😏
What we’re looking to in May, a month of what feels like nonstop moving, but in all the best ways.

To windows left open. Dinner outside. To the late evenings that linger.

To a garden in full expression; climbing, spilling, softly unruly.
Floral notes in the air and warmer days just beginning to settle in.

To late spring in the English countryside; calling us back with a certain eagerness, to its overgrown gardens, lingering light, and the feeling of being completely wrapped in the season.

To being busy, but never too busy not to notice the little things.

Also looking at what’s ahead? Definitely more custom cutie details like this.
Follow me to my happy place.

I’ve spent the past week reflecting on our time in the Cotswolds and while it feels good to be back, I know I’ll be daydreaming about winding lanes, quaint cottages, quiet garden paths, the golden light dancing through the trees and the magic that lingers in every corner.
