We are loving this budget friendly kitchen transformation. We designed a gorgeous inframe kitchen using - and can’t get enough of their #hemsley range 🤗
We’ve added additional storage and detail with pretty shelving - and some gorgeous hardware and lighting for a more bespoke feel.
It’s super cute and, of course, much cheaper to create a more beautiful space than with a larger kitchen, with the size forcing us to be super creative with the design to maximise every inch of space.
One of the smallest kitchens I’ve designed - and absolutely one of my favourites 🤍🤍

As the boys have grown up a little, they wanted a cosy space to relax or go crazy with friends. I can’t quite believe what a difference some simple DIY panelling and a Billy bookcase hack has made!! They now have bundles of storage for all of their toys, lego and games - and lots of comfortable floor space on this absolute bargain rug - we all love to be in here now!!
What I used:
Panelling: 9mm 2.4 board of mdf cut into strips of 7cm - with enough full length strips to run along the top and the rest at about 72cm tall for the panelling strips (all cut by B&Q with their in store machines 🙌🏻).
Paint: Bottom and panelling in #cornfoethwhite and #allwhite on top
hack: 3 x Billy bookcases, mdf strips to cover gaps, sides and kick board, cornice for the top and primed in white primer, 2x coats of Cornforth white. Finished with aged brass handles 🙌🏻

The best decision I made when building this house was the whitewashed wooden flooring throughout. We absolutely couldn’t afford wide whitewashed engineered flooring, so decided to create our own by buying this pine wood flooring, sanding it and using white wood stain (I’ll share the exact one in my stories). I worked it into the grain using a microfibre cloth to have a very faint whitewashed finish. It meant I could then add more if the colour wasn’t quite right. I used the Osmo clear oil to finish and love the end result 🙌🏻

Another view of our DIY Boot Room! The easiest and cheapest room renovation in the house, yet one of the prettiest, most used and most useful 🥰
I’ve created reels on how we created this space, with a basket for each person in the house (home to all hats, gloves, scarves and sports’ kits) making it easy to find everything in a rush 🙌🏻
I love that this space has become an extension to our hall, keeping all the messy bits hidden away and helping to keep a chaotic adhd house organised! We also have a very messy cupboard in the boot room for shoe storage - which I’m working on (watch this space 🔨 🪛 …)
