Poor Pooplet is exhausted
I actually cry every time I think about my life without these two crazy puppies in it š„ŗā¤ļø theyāre both healthy and happy, donāt worry. But they fill my cup so much every single day and Iām forever grateful
Back in 2020, I met my husband and she came as a packaged deal (I was more than okay with that). He adopted her from a service dog company that said she had too much anxiety to be a full service dog. Itās true, girl needs her own service dog.
We had friends in town and we were taking them all around our area and he was talking about how he got Maria, what company he adopted her out from and casually dropped that adopting out a service dog was a small tax write off but he couldnāt find the correct paperwork so he never did it.
I was the DD and decided to do some digging in real time and what I found about the company, the conditions the dogs were kept in and the fact that a childās life was lost in the mix was horrible!!
The more digging I did, the more upset I got. I found a podcast where a woman talked about how she essentially snuck onto the property and found dogs in cages stacked with water bowls frozen over, etc.
My husband got her when she was almost 2 and now sheās 9.5 and we treat her like the absolute angel princess she is. We donāt know her actual story, if she was one of the dogs stacked or if she had a different experience but if she could talk, I know she would tell us sheās seen some things.
