at the start of the year, I was ready to dive into my career & life goals with a re-ignited sense of drive and love for life. Turning 30 came with so much excitement for what this decade was about to bring, and all the things I wanted to do alongside it.
at the end of january, however, when my yearly mri rolled around, it turned out that my body had some serious other plans. in less than a 10 month period, my brain had developed 9 new lesions. my ms was progressing. and things had to change again.
i’ve spent much of this year doing big sprints to do the things I love, to spend time with the people I care about, because I’ve been so aware of the way my life is changing. new medications means different levels of immune compromisation. and having a chronic illness means I have to be in the long haul of taking care of my body for life.
it’s a marathon i’ve done my best to avoid training for, but i’ve realized this year i can’t… not.
this weekend, i cried big tears. my big medical appointments are later this month. i finally closed out some big projects. i grieved with friends. i laughed with them. i held my family. and i moved through the feelings. and most of that have been off the internet and in the chambers of my heart, and with my people.
this deepavali, as i set my intentions, I thought deeply about my health. my grandpa used to say that our bodies are our temple, and they deserve to be worshipped, and treated as such. taking care of this temple seemed to be so much more labour than I signed up for — so I also thought about my patience. patience with myself. patience with my body. patience for when i’m frustrated because i’m not moving fast enough at the speed i’d like to be “healing.”
so this deepavali, i come out of my little cocoon to say: whether you celebrate or not — i hope you take a moment to think about what it means to tend to your light. to take care of your temple. abundance in energy and time is all that I pray for these days, and I think in the chaos of our lives it’s easy to forget about it. so from my prayers to you, I wish you kindness to yourself, and the softness we all so deeply deserve.
happy deepavali friends ❤️🪔
As corporations drastically push back on publicly supporting queer and trans folks to appease political parties, policy makers, and funders, this is just a casual reminder that visibility is becoming harder and more unsafe — but also more important than ever 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ 💗💜💙
To all my community who are queer & trans, gnc, fluid or questioning: happy pride 🫶🏾.

p.s. I‘ve been journaling a lot lately — and I’ve realized that I want to change how I write here. and so, I’m coming back to this being my little online diary. for those who have been here for all of the iterations of me, over the last ten years on the internet, thanks for being here for this long. and for those that are new(er), welcome to the inside of my mind. she is curious. she is inquisitive. she is tender. she is deeply silly. and all she really wants to do, is to live — and document all the little moments along the way. so thanks for being here ❤️
If you haven’t been able to tell, I’ve been casually dropping a new lil brand refresh over the last few weeks as I’ve been renovating what I want my digital home to look like — and it’s time for my little icon to turn into a photo — and I seriously can’t decide 😩.
💫 Help me pick????? What’s your fav/top three?
👇🏾 I’m being indecisive af so I will absolutely be listening to whatever’s in the comments 🥲
3 years ago my life completely changed, and after a year of multiple MRIs, specialist appointments, and testing, on February 14, 2023 I finally received my official diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis — reminding me that my first love was always going to have to be this body of mine.
So here’s to her ❤️
(Ps I had way too much fun making these so send em to your fellow spoonies and let me know which is ur fav!!!)
Also she might be a billionaire but she’s absolutely an icon, so shoutout to for making Black History in 2025 🤎

But also????? All my makeup experts pls help a girl out 😩😅😭. Anything that shouldn’t mix together? Am I missing anything? Any tried and tested reccos that you would seriously recommend? Do I have everything I need?? Anything that I have that’s lowkey overrated that I should return immediately?
I’m going to be doing my makeup every weekday of February to solidly learn how to do more than just my everyday makeup and instead learn how to do something that’ll stay all day and look good on camera — bc I’ve decided it’s about time I learn 🫡.
So from a girlie who’s just ever used foundation, lipstick, light bronzer and mascara — this is 4000 more steps than I’m used to. Will happily take all advice (and YouTuber reccos) in the comments. 📚🙇🏾♀️
PS if you watch to the end you’ll catch the cringiest photo of me in high school and I promise that alone makes this video worth it.
& Truly — to all my fellow chronically ch(ill) folks who have to do a lot of *this* just so you can enjoy life in ways most people have the privilege of not thinking twice about? I see you, I love you, and I’m proud of you 🫶🏾
