When it comes to Renuka and myself, right from the time we began dating to the current times, we made sure that we live our lives on our own terms and not succumb to these sudden life changes. Instead, it became a part of our existence, we wore it like another proverbial skin and started tag-teaming each other to the point where all of this became muscle memory. Ofcourse, there have been challenges, there have been situations that have tested us, but when has it ever been a cake walk? It is all about how you tide over the storm and emerge stronger, wiser and resilient. There is a certain fun in that too!
Last Saturday, when we headed out on an impromptu date encompassing a coffee and cake session followed by some much needed retail therapy, ending it off with a comforting dinner, I got what you would call an epiphany or a profound moment of realisation. As I looked at Renuka for a few seconds, I realised how happy, fortunate and blessed I was to have her in my life because trust me, it makes a huge difference when you have the perfect life partner and soulmate. It has been almost 14 years since I am absolutely enjoying whatever we have built together and still more to go, and I look forward to each day with many more learnings and joyous experiences with her!🤗
Thank you for grounding me, being my ultimate leveler, all the tough love, patience, abundance of well-fitting hugs, food and just being there. Trust me, that feeling cannot be quantified!🧿

It was a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment that was stocked to the rafters with everything that you needed, spacious interiors, a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and bird song that was our natural wake up call everyday. It was nothing, but bliss with the bright blue intermingling perfectly with the verdant greens, earthy browns and spartan white, cotton-ball like clouds! Through all of this, a sudden epiphany hit me like a thunderbolt!
It was the fact that I was vacationing exactly like the way I plan holidays for my clients or friends, in tandem with the USP of my company,! Simply put, planning / curating holidays for people based on their personal travel style and culinary preferences. How cool was that! We would start our day with a leisurely breakfast, hit the gym a few times prior that, my brother would go to the beach while Renuka and I would go swimming, my dad would relax in our room and catch up on sleep while my mom would just chill and do nothing. Then in the evening, we would all head out for dinner and a cultural show. Imagine planning and enjoying a holiday with the same ethos like you do iy professionally... surreal isn't it?
Well, it was a welcome break and here's looking forward to many more such pleasant experiences. This was just me, if these kind of holidays are your thing and it resonates with you, simply DM me!

It wasn’t always easy; this year tested me physically, emotionally, and mentally. But it also felt like growth I’ve genuinely earned.
🇯🇵 Bucket-list mode: ON: Japan, a new hobby, and yes, another tattoo. All with my numero uno cheering on!
🎨 Found old joys again: Picked up a paintbrush after years and discovered that muscle memory is very real. Stuck to my reading goals too (past versions of me would be proud).
🥻 More sarees, less shopping: Made time to wear what I love even on madly busy days, and I am calling it main character energy.
🗣️ Spoke my mind: Stood up for myself and my people, strengthened the bonds that mattered, and gently let go of the ones that didn’t. Kept my circle small and incredibly close.
🌱 Invested in growth: Professionally and personally, in ways that actually changed me. Shoutouts to & #iykyk
🍳 Cooked my heart out: Meal-planned like a machine and stuck to it on most days. Bonus win: did my first pop-up (loved every bit), heart full of gratitude to the good folks at for making this happen
💪 Juggled the tough stuff: Walked into hard things knowing they would be worth it, and talked myself out of quitting halfway.
Most of all, I’m glad that with all the curveballs life threw my way this year, I didn’t dodge them. I met many head-on, deflected a few, and allowed some to pass, because not every battle needs a warrior stance.
Hello 2026: No grand proclamations. Just showing up with curiosity and self-trust. Let’s see where we go from here. 🧿

Cut to December: Am I a gym bro yet?🏋🏻♂️ Far from it. However, what I'm super stoked about is being able to climb up four floors with heavy bags minus the panting or crush 20K steps in Tokyo without feeling like someone's cut off my legs and, most importantly, a routine I've come to genuinely enjoy.
Here's to 2026 and finding strength together 💪🏻🥂🧿

For Asians and specifically for South Asians, we've grown up with quite the sensible practice when it comes to using a toilet, and by that I mean the usage of water to cleanse our orifices. I remember as a young kid growing up and being utterly shocked when I went on a holiday to the West and finding out that toilet paper was the done thing for cleansing yourself. Toilet paper! Really? I mean, c'mon! The thought itself drives me up the wall and makes me want to take another bath if I've been in such a situation. Disgusting, isn't it? 🧻
I remember Renuka and I religiously carried our handy mobile health faucet while travelling abroad and I cannot tell you how comforting it is. So you can imagine our joy during trips together or individually when we came across this amazing contraption called TOTO! It was nothing short of a game changer, an absolute pleasure to acquaint ourselves with! Just imagine, the toilet is warm 24/7, a series of buttons at the side with precision timing aimed at your backside along with wave after wave of warm air to dry it, who would want to get up? I remember coming across a really high-tech one, where an in-built sensor lifts the toilet seat cover upon sensing your arrival a few steps away! Wow!🤩
During our recent trip to Japan, we made sure that all our stays had a TOTO at our disposal. That was the ultimate deal breaker, I don't think I've ever been so happy to enter a toilet in any other country's establishments with the thought that there are TOTOs in the toilets. Just think about it, the minute someone mentions the word TOTO, you can feel a sense of calm, tranquility and satisfaction like everything is alright with the world. It's one of the ultimate conversation starters, guys!
So, have you ever acquainted yourself with a TOTO? Tell me your story in the comments below!

Tokyo demanded that we walk — everywhere — and honestly, that’s the best way to know any city. We soaked in the glittering night view from the Skytree, disappeared into another dimension at TeamLab Planets, learnt the nuances of sake, and explored neighbourhoods each with its own vibe. We attempted (and survived!) the Shibuya Scramble, got lost and found again in the maze that is Tokyo Station, made 7/11 our unexpected best friend, ate more sushi and gyoza than we’ll ever admit, and hunted down the perfect pair of Onitsukas.
Through it all, Tokyo’s charm never stopped surprising us.
We left with tired feet, full hearts, and a quiet promise to return — hopefully soon. 🇯🇵✨

Kyoto is bursting with history, tradition, and temples that each hold a story — from the bright vermillion gates of Fushimi Inari to the deep, serene greens of Kodaiji. Wandering through Nishiki Market, nibbling on crab tempura and sipping warm sake felt like the perfect way to take in the season.
But what truly took my breath away was the way nature doesn’t just blend into the city — it defines it. Trees, gardens, forests, sanctuaries - nature stands everywhere as a proud motif, elevating Kyoto’s beauty.
After Osaka’s electric energy, and before stepping into Tokyo’s dynamic rush, Kyoto was exactly the pause we needed — calm, culturally rich, and soaked in the zen energy Japan is known for.

I love cities that have a character of their own — the kind that pull you into their rhythm, set the pace, and leave you discovering little surprises at every turn. Osaka was all of that and so much more.
A city buzzing with an energy that’s infectious yet somehow understated. Where historic castles sit comfortably beside neon nights, and centuries of culture blend seamlessly with modern chaos. And the food - let’s just say there’s a reason it’s called Japan’s Kitchen. Every meal felt like a discovery. 🍜✨
I’ll admit it — I didn’t expect Osaka to catch me off guard the way it did. But some places just have a vibe, and ours matched perfectly.
Here’s to a new favourite. 🇯🇵💛
