Inside, you’ll learn how to forage for earth pigments, process and refine them by hand, create your own watercolor paint from scratch, and build confidence using your handmade colors through painting techniques and color theory.
But somewhere along the way, I realized this practice was about way more than just paint.
The deeper I went into natural pigments, the more I found myself slowing down, listening to my intuition, and reconnecting with creativity through the natural world in a way that’s healing.
That’s why I created two pathways within the course.
🌱 The CORE EXPERIENCE is a self paced journey through the complete curriculum.
🌱 The STUDIO CIRCLE is a more intimate experience, limited to 11 participants, for those who want to go beyond technique and explore their creative practice more deeply through reflection, community, conversation, and shared making.
This knowledge is centuries old. It has been passed down from maker to maker, generation after generation.
It was once passed down to me.
And now, I am honored to pass it down to you.
The STUDIO CIRCLE is accepting participants until June 18th, or until all spaces have been filled.
Full details can be found on my website.
I would be honored to welcome you to the circle. ❤️

To the butterfly that flew into my house a few days before, to the flowers blooming in the garden he loved to play in, and to the strange ways grief speaks to us when words don’t seem to come.
When those flowers bloomed, I gathered them and turned them into pigment. What was surprising was that they created two colors.
This green became watercolor paint, and eventually these small paintings that I send to Mail Club members around the world each month. They are tiny reminders of a cat who taught me more about love than I can put into words.
Muxu had a difficult beginning, but somehow stayed completely open to people, to affection, and to love.
The color is a reminder that maybe the bravest thing we can do is the same.
To keep our hearts open, even after loss.
To trust again after being hurt.
To continue blooming.
The paintings made with this first color have already been mailed to their new homes. Next months Mail Club letter will feature the second pigment created from Muxu’s flowers.

An 8 week online journey into natural paint making, earth pigments, and slow, intentional creative practice.
Found inside the PIGMENT COLLECTIVE, a new online space for learning, exploring, and reconnecting with creativity through the natural world.
This course has been unfolding over the past year, shaped by years of working with locally sourced pigments and building a more sustainable way of making art.
Inside, we move step by step through foraging, processing, and making your own watercolor paints from the earth, alongside watercolor foundations and color exploration using handmade materials.
This is for anyone feeling called back to a more grounded, connected way of creating.
The PIGMENT COLLECTIVE is now open.
I am so grateful to finally share this with you.

Been there! The feeling of waiting for inspiration to strike, or worse, not even having the mental capacity to pick up a brush.
Doubt, worry, anxiety, stress.
While there are many books I could recommend, what I will say is this:
It isn’t when your space is perfect enough, or when you have the right materials, or the best paper. Creativity comes from within, and it comes through action.
If you find yourself in need of a gentle creative push, you’ll find it in my Natural Paint Making Online Course. Together, we ground ourselves in nature, forage for colors, make artist pigments, and create watercolor paint by hand using my personal watercolor medium recipe.
We’ll find inspiration through the best teacher of them all, Mother Nature. 🌱
Are you ready to take the leap?

Over the past year, I’ve been building my 8 Week Online Course in Natural Paint Making, a course rooted in the belief that creativity can reconnect us not only to the natural world, but also to ourselves.
Together, we’ll learn the complete process of working with natural pigments: foraging earth colors, refining raw materials, creating watercolor medium from scratch, hand making our own paints, color theory, and painting techniques.
For those seeking a deeper level of guidance and connection throughout the process, there will also be a limited Studio Circle edition of the course.
The waitlist is now open through the PIGMENT COLLECTIVE on my website. Waitlist members will receive first access before public enrollment opens.
I truly cannot wait to share this with you.

A quote by Júlia Cameron stayed with me throughout the process: “The doing of a small something when a large something is too much for us is perhaps especially an act of faith.”
Because that’s often how this course felt to me. Like something much larger than myself that slowly came together through small, dedicated moments, regardless of life’s challenges and constant changes.
I began creating this course last summer with one intention in mind: to share the knowledge, beauty, and transformation found within natural pigments. This practice has been passed from hand to hand for generations, long before paint was manufactured in factories, until it eventually found its way to me, and now, hopefully, to you.
Looking back now, I can hardly believe how much my life has changed over the past year. But through every transition, art remained the thing anchoring me forward. My creativity became both a compass and a way of rebuilding trust in myself and the unknown path ahead.
So alongside the core course experience, I’ve also created a limited capacity option for those seeking deeper guidance, connection, and supported creative self discovery throughout the process.
Enrollment for my 8 Week Online Course in Natural Paint Making opens May 29th, 2026.
Waitlist members on my website will receive first access before public enrollment opens.

This butterfly, actually a Black Witch Moth, came to me a bit before the passing of my sweet boy, Muxu. While her symbolism varies in different countries, ranging from feminine energy and transformation to an omen of death, I’ve found peace in believing both meanings can be true at the same time, regardless of how difficult it is to accept that truth.
Life after losing Moosh is incredibly difficult. It’s hard to talk about him without crying. It will be this way for a while. But how lucky am I to have experienced something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

I would’ve never imagined I’d be here at this point in my life, and I’ve been struggling with how to show up. First and foremost, thank you to everyone who showed their support to our GoFundMe during the move here, it was amazing and I will forever be grateful for you.
Second, I have never felt this lost before in my life. I’ve been spending majority of my time alone, mostly because I am in the middle of the mountains, but I’m trying to make this short time I have left in Mexico as a type of self ran artist residency. Except I haven’t really been able to paint, just making pigment, playing with clay, and laying in bed. Which is normal. I’m trying to be more gentle with myself during a time of such big change.
I don’t really know where this goes from here, but I told myself I wanted to open up online about my life and my art, as if those two were ever separate topics. So, this is where I am. If you have been in a similar situation and have advice you’re willing to share, I would love to hear it. ❤️🩹
