I thought I’d be deep into training mode by now — lots of running kilometres, plenty of ski days. Instead, I’ve been dealing with a tendon overload or something for almost five weeks, and it’s been limiting in ways I didn’t expect.

What I had to learn: just because something is pain-free doesn’t mean it helps. Ski touring and cycling felt fine, but they didn’t allow real healing. Running — and even walking - continues to hurt. So I’ve been fully resting for the past ten days. Not easy when your head is full of plans, goals and ideas and all you want is to move. Feels like a lesson. Not because my goals are wrong, but because I have to accept that sometimes the body sets the pace. Right now my hip is saying no, after years of functioning, pushing and delivering. Letting go doesn’t come naturally, and that’s probably my biggest task at the moment. I’m doing my exercises, talking to doctors and working with physios (danke ❤️), and trying to trust the process.

One bright spot: I made a small painfree pause exception for a really nice freeride clinic including a shooting with — something I’m very thankful for. A few good turns, smiles and sunbeams in lovely company in my home mountains, which I miss a lot atm. Thanks (1 & 3, 4) and (2, 8) for the photos and thanks to everyone for the good vibes 🤍
Now it’s mindset, mindset, mindset, patience. Some more snow and hopefully soon a second attempt at starting this winter — when my body is ready. Everything is gonna be fine, also my ZUT100 🙏☯️

2025 was a damn good year. Not because everything was perfect – but because it felt strong, clear & fully mine. Something shifted in autumn 2024 on the high Tibetan Plateau, on the way to Cho La Pass (5,050 m). I didn’t come back as a different person – just sharper, more certain, more confident in my own direction. & 2025 built on that.

The year unfolded with many epic moments. I dropped my skiing block early on & took a massive step forward on skis. I ran the GaPa trail again & cut almost 15 minutes without specific training. I crossed the Pyrenees by bike to work my way out of burnout & reached the Atlantic full of energy after 1,000 km / 23,000 m of climbing. I survived ZUT 44 km, my longest run ever, in brutal heat after two months without running. Climbed the Herzogkante, moved across the biggest ridge line of my life – Obergabelhorn, Zinalrothorn & Weisshorn via Schaligrat. I ran the Karwendel high route during a sudden winter breakout – 100 km in three days. When winter arrived, I stepped right into the backcountry – shitting my pants, but ready to trust the skis again.

But what really made this year strong wasn’t just the physical output. It was my mindset – growing into deeper self-trust. I was with myself this year, not only in sport. Clear about my energy, my limits & what deserves my time. I let go of what felt heavy & chose direction over noise, intention over proving, depth over distraction.

One thing that mattered deeply to me was sharing my world with my niece. Giving her access to summer & winter mountains, & watching her discover these places through her own eyes, reminds me why all of this matters, beyond performance. I share a lot of my sport life here – including struggles & challenges – but little of my private one. But my friends shape a huge part of who I am. They carry me, challenge me & ground me, & I’m deeply grateful to have them by my side, near & far.

A big year. A grounded year. A year full of joy while facing my own challenges.
2025 didn’t reinvent me – it strengthened what was already there. Feeling humble & deeply grateful for the life I get to live.

So here comes with pic 2 one picture for each month in 25. Wow 🥹❤️☯️
Yesterday was all about safety and winter prep: a full avalanche training day on with and ❄️Refreshing all the theory, diving into real practice again - searching, probing, digging. our guide, went deep into the details, and it felt so good to get hands-on and sharpen those skills at the start of the season.

It’s my fifth winter on skis and I’m still learning so much every single day. Nine ski days in mid-December already - and after a rough start, things finally begin to click again. Still a long way to go, but I’m excited for it: this winter will be all about technique, routine and putting in the work ⛷️

I’m fully motivated to keep progressing - also with my long-term goal in mind: the first mountain rescue ski exams for in February 2027. Two winters to get strong, clean and more confident. With good coaching, consistency and a lot of time on snow...
I know I will get there.

Here’s to a winter full of learning, practice and safe days in the mountains (and a lot of running as well 😇) ❄️🤍🏔️

Last day of November, 6 ski days already in the books. Winter came early – happy was I, because I’ve been waiting for it for months. I kept saying I wouldn’t have needed summer this year… and now I know why. Because then I wouldn’t have had such a long break and the first days wouldn’t have been that rough 😂 I felt like I had never been on skis before. Heavy conditions, no groomers, first days straight in the terrain – probably the real reason for the hard feelings, not just the break 🤡

Wise words from a friend when I cried about losing all my end-of-season flow: “Just because you finished last winter skiing like a little goddess doesn’t mean you start into the next like one. That’s when skiing is in your blood, when you started as a child. You just started a little time ago. Don’t forget that.” And yes… he was right. Complex skills to learn, difficult changing conditions – you eat some dirt. It’s part of the process. And process comes through repetition — again and again. I’m impatient 😂 And I feel the pressure reg. February ‘27 💆‍♀️

On top of that, my body hit me hard this month (PMS on steroids thanks to a hormonal shift – not cute). A couple of days where nothing felt good, mentally or physically. So the whole “hard season start” burned a little extra.

But today? Day 6. And it maybe clicked. I felt a little like the version of me from last spring. Clean(er) turns (well… clean for me), a nice flow, confidence. Would a video probably show 17 things to fix? Of course. But that’s why I’m taking lessons again 💪 And I have a really good feeling that this winter will be even better than the last ❄️🤍

Can I beat last year’s 65 ski days? 😬

Autumn, you beautiful season 💖
All the colours, the low sun, crisp air on my skin in the shade. Trails that smell like moss and wood. Running in the dark. Cold rivers getting colder, morning ice baths that bite a little sharper. Coffee in the sunlight. Nights under a heavy winter duvet - a little too warm still. A sky turning pink and gold, just like this. A little snow up there. Autumn, you are so beautiful. And I really do love you 💖

But sorry: I can’t wait any longer. I’ve been waiting for winter for three months already 😂 Could’ve skipped summer, autumn and spring entirely this year. Please, winter, come!!! I’m so ready. And impatient.

28/11 will feel like Christmas and Birthday in one.
Only two weeks left 🤩🎿❄️

44km. 2,000m up. No training — just 1,000km bikepacking in my legs. It wasn’t the distance. The combination of heat & unused impact were brutal 🥵

Fun till km 20. Then puked mid-race, full-body shutdown around km 25, in the longest climb. Dizzy, empty, leaning against a tree in the shade, staring into nothing while ZEGAPA’s sounds echoed through the forest. I felt like a zombie, but somehow moved on. My people were out there. The Cheering Zone at Kreuzeck was waiting. No thoughts of quitting. Got hugs, iced water, so much love. For a few minutes, I wasn’t alone. So grateful for that ❤️

I pushed up to Osterfelder. Felt remote-controlled. I tried to keep fueling, but once you throw up, minerals are gone. Took in the views of my home mountains. Felt the breeze on my soaked clothes. Shaky, but moving. Then came the downhill. The technical part was nice (sort of). Another refreshing stop at the Cheering Zone. The last 10k steep, never-ending, cruel. Every tiny flat felt like salvation. I ran faster on the flats than the descents. My legs were shot, my head pounding. Ongoing dizziness. Sometimes freezing. Still, kept going till the finish line.

Everyone suffered. I met 100k & 100m runners on the course — gave them words of respect. They inspired me deeply.

I ran farther than ever. As much as I’ve run in the past 7 weeks — in one day. I’m proud. Proud I kept moving. Proud I ran my first 42k+ here in Garmisch, with Alpspitze watching & friends by my side. Proud of this wild, loud, beautiful trail community. Proud of my body — even when it screamed “no.” Proud of my mind — for never doubting and staying stubborn. Two years ago, I started trail running right here — with the 31k from scratch. These people & this place are what trail running means to me ❤️

Huge thanks to & — & to everyone who cheered, helped, or followed along.

, you were wild. The heat so brutal, gave me chills even when lying in bed after 🥶🥵 Happy though. My heart is full. But somehow… hungry now 😂😇

I didn’t expect to have so many problems right at the beginning of trip. But things happen, one doesn’t have any influence on - like a mechanical or a closed road. But hey, I knew it won’t just be about cycling and the beauty of the high mountains but also about resilience, going with the flow, pushing limits, finding strength in struggle and freedom with solutions. I follow my heart, I have the discernment and trust my grit 🙏 In the evening I wi be back on track 👌
