Du 3 au 17 février 2026, l’Espace Chazen de Jugetsudo Paris accueille une rencontre inédite entre le trait et le parfum. L’exposition « Traits Parfumés » dévoile le travail de Seisetsu Murata, calligraphe et maître de la Voie de l’encens. Unique héritière de l’école Oie-ryū, elle fait revivre une esthétique impériale où la calligraphie du kana ancien et la fragrance fusionnent en un seul geste poétique. 🖌️🌿
◆◇ Atelier Exceptionnel de Kumikō: L’écoute de l’encens
À l’occasion de cette exposition, quatre séances exclusives de Kumikō (rituel du Genji-kō) sont organisées. Sous la direction de Seisetsu Murata, les participants sont invités à « écouter » (mon-kō) d’infimes copeaux de bois d’agar précieux pour en percevoir le message profond avec le cœur.
Ce rituel consiste à identifier les fragrances identiques parmi cinq séries d’encens. Les réponses sont ensuite tracées sous forme de Genji-mon, ces symboles géométriques traditionnels issus du Dit du Genji. Le vainqueur de cette énigme olfactive aura l’honneur de recevoir le Kōki, le registre officiel de la séance calligraphié à la main par l’artiste elle-même. Un thé Jugetsudō sera servi en fin de la séance, accompagné d’un wagashi raffiné du Maître pâtissier Manabu Shiraishi, pour clore ce moment de méditation silencieuse.
