In 1922 my Great Grandpa opened up a shoe store on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. In 1958 they moved it to the location it is now.
In 1976 my Grandpa opened up a clothing store on the opposite side of town.. My aunt managed it until about 15 years ago.
We combined the clothing store inside the shoe store in 2019. It’s worked out perfectly since we gave up the children’s department a few years ago and had plenty of space.
Featured in the first photo is me (Hanlon Coffin 4th generation) and my dad (Park Coffin 3rd generation.) In the second photo is the two of us and my Grandpa (2nd generation).
I am so blessed to be 4th generation in this business, and being my dad’s side kick everyday! What girl wouldn’t want to be surrounded by shoes and clothing all day?!;)
