Sankt Goarshausen has a hike where you climb rocks and squeeze through paths. But to be completely honest it’s way more fun than it is hard. Just wear boots with good grip, take your time and be careful. The views over the Rhine Valley at the top make it so worth it 🥹
📍 Sankt Goarshausen, about 1h from Wiesbaden with the RB10.
For the trail map, head to the link in my bio and look for trail 47 on my Komoot account.
Save this to try on the next sunny weekend! ☀️

This was my second time visiting the Black Forest and I just love going back to this region. This time, I spent a weekend in and tried something new for me: biohacking.
Biohacking basically means doing small things that help your body feel and function better and at you can actually try a few treatments. The salt cave with a guided breathing session was so calming, I switched off within minutes. And then the warm (M.C.S) + cold chambers… not gonna lie, they are intense (temperatures under -60°C), but will help boost circulation, support your immune system, and help with recovery.
There are also pools, relaxation areas, massages, and professionals guiding you through everything, so you can really make a full day out of it. If you’ve been curious about biohacking or different types of wellness treatments, this is such an easy, unique, and fun way to try it!
Full itinerary 👇
DAY 1:
- Wellness time at Solemar: Try the salt cave breathing session, cold chamber + M.C.S chamber
- Have lunch at Solemar’s restaurant - they have delicious soups
- For the afternoon, you can continue to enjoy the spa facilities or do a short day trip to Donaueschingen (visit the Donauquelle, castle park and old town)
Day 2:
- Slow morning exploring Bad Dürrheim
- Lunch at Öfinger Landhaus (starting point of the hike)
- Hike the Himmelberg loop - check trail map 49 in my Komoot profile - link is in my bio
Save this for your next trip to the Black Forest! 🌿

📍 Bad Dürrheim, Black Forest - Germany
I’ve been feeling tired and a bit burned out lately, so I was really happy to do a trip that was more on the relaxing and recharging side than full-explorer mode.
And the Black Forest delivered exactly that 🌲 It’s so beautiful right now and so easy to reach from the Rhein-Main area, perfect for a short weekend escape.
I stayed in Bad Dürrheim, which I hadn’t heard much about before, but it completely won me over. It’s a small town with the most lovely spa vibes, a beautiful park, super walkable, and a great base to explore nearby towns by public transport. And it has a wellness center called Solemar with sooo many facilities and biohacking treatments that can help with better sleep and boosting your immune systems:
- Cold chamber: dry cryotherapy at -60°C to -100°C ❄️
- Ice baths 🧊
- Breathwork sessions: guided Wim Hof-style with breathing techniques 🌬️
- M.C.S chamber: a cabin that combines infrared heat, LED light therapy and ionised oxygen 🫁
- Salt cave: salty air that’s been used for decades to support respiratory health and skin 🧂
- Indoor and outdoor pools 🏊
- Sauna ♨️
- Massage and proper relaxation areas 💆
And outside of Solemar 👇
- Easy countryside hikes like the Himmelberg Runde (check trail map 49 in my Komoot profile - link is in my bio)
- Quick trips to nearby towns like Donaueschingen, super charming and walkable
Save this for your next weekend reset 🗺️
