Anise loves wisteria so here we were driving to see it at the famous Ashikaga Park in Saitama where there are thousands of them all beautifully taken care of. It was a lovely day of weather to see and photograph memories of spring!

The temple is part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage and reflects Japan’s mix of Buddhism and Shinto, where Seiganto-ji and Nachi Taisha developed side by side around the sacred waterfall. Nachi Falls itself is worshipped as a deity, which is why the shrine and temple exist together in the same place.
