Mitten im Naturpark Teutoburger Wald / Eggegebirge liegt die historische Abtei Marienmünster – umgeben von ruhigen Wegen und einer beeindruckenden Landschaftskulisse.
Rund um die Benediktinerabtei aus dem Jahr 1128 führt ein etwa 1 Kilometer langer Lehrpfad durch die Natur. Dabei erfährt man nicht nur mehr über die Waldnutzung im Klosteralltag, sondern entdeckt auch immer wieder kleine ruhige Orte rund um das Gelände.
Besonders schön fand ich den kleinen Teich, in dem sich die Türme der Abtei spiegeln – einer dieser Orte, an denen man automatisch kurz stehen bleibt.

Früh morgens am Schiedersee starten, die Ruhe auf den Aussichtsplattformen genießen und den ersten Seglern auf dem Wasser zusehen.
Danach weiter zum Kahlenbergturm – mitten im Wald gelegen und perfekt als Ausgangspunkt für kleine Wanderungen oder eine entspannte Pause.
Und zum Abschluss nach Schwalenberg: historische Altstadt, kleine Gassen und ein Sonnenuntergang an der Burg, den man so schnell nicht vergisst.
