This song came out and I don’t know about you but I’m an Ella fan. The irony of her lyrics “don’t even know her the girl from last October, right now I’d like to show her who we’ve turned into, how the flowers look in June when we are on to some thing new” - I was at the one year mark since Ryan had passed last October. I wasn’t sure how to move forward with my teammate and best friend, and was praying for God to give me fresh wind to use my gift to serve others, to fall in love with the unknown future, and heal my nervous system / body to honor what I went through and the toll it had took.
In January, I went to LTL 2.0 mastermind class and connected with other likeminded women who want to bless others by capturing family legacies. I told myself, “if I’m going to do it, I’m fully doing it!” I’m now building a team, growing in my personal and professional life, and launching a new website + brand is just the icing on the cake!
Grief has been a huge component to this whole process- growing without your biggest cheerleader, not having the same person to call when you have a “win” - it hasn’t been easy so I will continue to show up here sharing the real behind my heart + why I do what I do…
I don’t believe I’m JUST a family photographer, my role is far greater and weightier in responsibility because I know first hand how much the photos you take with your family will mean to you and your children one day.

If you had the opportunity to meet Ryan, you would’ve known that my dream of a photography business was something he was equally passionate about. He was my biggest fan from the beginning- finishing my degree in photography, helping me with every project, and even assisting me sessions and installs.

Photography has been part of my story since high school. I followed that passion all the way through earning my Bachelor’s degree in Photography, and stepping into full-time business in 2015.
In March of 2023, my late husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. That season changed everything. God’s faithfulness, my children, my business, my gracious clients, and a beautiful village carried us through. Becoming a single mom and widow has deeply shaped the way I see life—and the weight and meaning photographs can hold one day.
My two children are my whole world. When I’m not photographing families, you’ll find me outside exercising, tending to my rose garden, knee-deep in a home renovation project, or simply playing with my kiddos and doing my best to soak up the everyday moments.
