It’s the first time the original multitrack tapes have been used since Maestro’s last production, creating a symbolic bridge between his final work and contemporaneity. Conceived as a musical relay, the album features rearrangements and overdubs on the source tracks, giving a new dimension to Piero’s genius through the encounter with Jolly Mare musical vision.
The recording took place between legendary Sound Workshop in Rome and Oister Studio in Milan over a span of three years, taking advantage of the unique acoustics and making use of the original instruments and equipment of the former.
La Luce dell’Alba will be out June 5 on 42 Records, limited ivory vinyl copies are available for preorder through their website and on Bandcamp. The album is introduced by “Dentro La Notte, La Luce dell’Alba”, a 6:35 min suite narrating the transition from night to sunrise. Link in bio.

This four tracks distills our shared time in the studio, merging tastes and influences, recording original instruments and letting them speak, with the attempt to capture the energy of cosmic music in a contemporary form. Thank you for listening and supporting.
Daniele Baldelli and Jolly Mare come together for a record that feels less like a collaboration and more like a shared state of mind. Flusso Uno moves through Afro-cosmic kraut-inflected psychedelia and cinematic electronics with a natural, unforced flow, where rhythm, texture and narrative all pull in the same direction.
Rather than referencing the past, the EP treats it as a living language. The long-form, ritualistic percussion of early cosmic dance culture meets the hypnotic motorik pulse of krautrock and the more structured, sample-driven tribalism that followed in later decades. What ties it all together is a deep sense of atmosphere and intention: music that feels physical, emotional and quietly transportive.
First single Dhol Parade is out today and opens the journey like a slow-burning procession, drums circling and expanding as if guiding the listener into another space.

Like a slithering snake, Hebi unfolds through patience and subtle transformation. Built on recurring motifs and gradual textural shifts, the motion evolves while organic percussion pulses softly beneath the surface, shaping the track’s forward path. A fluid slap bass weaves through the arrangement, adding a tactile, human presence, while layers of warm synthesizers slowly expand and contract, blurring melody and atmosphere into an afro-cosmic anthem.
Rather than relying on sharp contrasts, the track evolves by accumulation: small variations in rhythm, timbre, and density gently redirect its course. The result is a focused, hypnotic piece in which structure and sound design move together, inviting repeated listens to uncover new details with each playback.

L’album è un susseguirsi di immagini tratte da una storia di fantasia in stile library music, dove abitanti ed habitué della riviera sfrecciano su auto sportive, si innamorano inaspettatamente, tra un tuffo e l’altro si curano al sole e vivono notti fatali in un’estate infinita.
Metto insieme un po di foto di quelle giornate e delle tante altre passate in studio a registrare, rifinire gli arrangiamenti, e poi il mix ed il master, un lungo lavoro di cui mi sono occupato personalmente come per lo scorso album.
Complimenti ad Alberto ed ai musicisti con cui per suo merito ho avuto il piacere di lavorare.
