Dat is ook exact hoe mijn moederschap voelt: zo’n fundamenteel stuk van mezelf geven aan mijn meisjes, dag en nacht. Het ook niet per se erg vinden dat mijn eigen kleur wat fletser wordt, want al mijn ‘roze’ mag ik terugzien in hen. 👧🏼👶🏻
Alles geven en meer. Mezelf kwijtraken, zorgen, dragen, doorgaan. Tot er ineens, heel zachtjes, weer iets van mezelf terugkomt. Iets dat heel stil ook weer ruimte mag krijgen. Niet zoals voordien, maar op een hele nieuwe manier. Een 2.0 versie. ☀️ Een sprankeltje zon, licht en warmte dat doorheen de grijze wolken breekt.
Ik hoop dat het blijvend is, dat gevoel. Maar ik ben me er ook van bewust dat alles met ups en downs verloopt en dat het ook oké is wanneer ik een dag of periode even niet die sprankel voel. ✨ Maar wees er dan maar heel zeker van dat je die in mijn meisjes wél gaat zien. Dat het bij hen levend blijft.
Misschien zit jij ook nog in die fase waarin alles, of toch heel veel, naar je kleintjes gaat. Da’s oké. Weet dan: als je even je kleur kwijt bent, kijk dan naar hén. En onthou dat die van jou uiteindelijk ook weer terugkomt. 💗

Wanneer ik vroeger in vriendenboekjes moest invullen “wat ik later wil worden”, noteerde ik altijd “schrijfster”. Ik wist alleen niet dat ik hiervoor eerst Mama moest worden. Nietsvermoedend stroomden de woorden ineens, enkele maanden geleden, in het dieptepunt van mijn prille Moederschap. Om ineens heel duidelijk die missie te zien: andere Mama’s zich gezien laten voelen. Een kinderdroom die werkelijkheid wordt. 💖 Waarmee ik wil zeggen: soms wringt het leven je in bochten, struikel je, krabbel je weer overeind, om achteraf te zien, te beseffen: “eigenlijk moest het zo zijn.”
