Ein riesiges Dankeschön an, die uns für den Wettkampf ein Tandem zur Verfügung gestellt haben. Nachdem wir seit dem letzten Jahr nicht mehr auf der Bahn gefahren waren, konnten wir in den Disziplinen 4000 m, 1000 m und 200 m fliegend wertvolle Erfahrungen sammeln und sind zufrieden mit unseren Leistungen!
Der Fokus liegt jetzt klar auf der Vorbereitung für den Überprüfungslehrgang im Juni, bei dem wir die WM-Norm über 4000 m erreichen wollen. Die ersten Schritte dafür sind gemacht und wir freuen uns auf die kommenden Trainingswochen. 💪

Gestern empfingen Ministerpräsidentin Anke Rehlinger und Minister für Inneres, Bauen und Sport Reinhold Jost die Para-Sportlerin Johanna Recktenwald in der Festhalle der Staatskanzlei.
Die Para-Biathletin aus Marpingen startet für das Biathlon-Team Saarland. Bei den Paralympischen Winterspielen 2026 gewann sie ihre erste Bronze-Medaille beim Biathlon-Einzel der Frauen mit Sehbeeinträchtigung. Mit ihren Erfolgen auf internationaler Ebene steht sie für Spitzensport aus dem Saarland und rückt den Para-Sport weit über das Land hinaus in den Fokus.
Ministerpräsidentin Rehlinger: „Johannas Leistungen im Parasport sind beeindruckend. Sie erzählen aber nicht die ganze Geschichte der jungen Frau aus Marpingen, die bei den Paralympischen Winterspielen in Mailand und Cortina Bronze im Biathlon-Einzel gewonnen hat. Denn Johanna engagiert sich in vielfältiger Weise auch ehrenamtlich. Damit ist sie nicht nur eine erfolgreiche Sportlerin, sondern auch eine sympathische und überzeugende Botschafterin für den Parasport geworden. Sie rückt ihn vom Rand in die Mitte der Gesellschaft. Genau dort gehört er hin.“
Sportminister Reinhold ergänzte: „Johanna Recktenwald zeigt, was modernen Spitzensport ausmacht: Fokus, Teamgeist und die Fähigkeit, Grenzen immer wieder neu zu verschieben. Ihre Bronzemedaille ist ein starkes Signal – für den Para-Sport, für junge Athletinnen und Athleten und vor allem für ein Saarland, das Talente fördert und Vielfalt als Stärke begreift.“
