Just a couple Joes chilling lol!
When we met, I immediately started in! The words please run, flew out my mouth. I pushed the subject...expressed my concern for this man to run for president. This man drips love and concern. His wife Jill, was there and they felt like a family. Like two people who had taken on the world together. I was taken back, there was no special person to take care of their grooming and felt honored that day the special person would be me. I felt blessed but knew it was bigger than me. Every few words I would pray inside that he would save us all. It is a-lot to ask, but it looked grim.
He is real deal. At the time Joe had just lost his son. We talked it over. He was not ready at the time. We continued to talk about this son. His name was Bo. It was cancer that stole him away.
I hurt for him and understood the weight of what I was asking. I felt driven to tears. Please run! It was deep in my heart to push my cause. Our need for him was great.
I had to press him.
I asked Joe again and again to run.
Joe pulled a chair and we talked family, love, and life.
When the talk started of Joe running, and I saw Joe follow through, I knew I had to take a stand.
So after acting cool and shaking my head for 20 years, I finally voted. It was my first time. I am not proud to admit this, but I am. He followed through! I had to also.
There were many things we discussed in our 32 minute conversation (yes, I counted) it was nuts. The secret service was like? 🧐🧐As they watch us laugh.
I am grateful for this man and so happy I did my part to be a part of the solution too. My heart is in, on this one.
Voting has always mattered. The reality is, it matters much more now. More than ever. Our love ones and lives are at stake. I hope if you did not vote, one day you will. It is a chance to truly makes some sort of real change for all of the things that we complain about. It feels pretty dam good to be proactive, and for me. This guy is a gem and perfect for the job.
