The streets of paris shaking, everybody dancing, bodies, sound, sun, sweat.. Just people, together, choosing joy out loud. That’s what this music has always been for us, a celebration of life, a culture, a shared language, a place where you’re allowed to be exactly who you are. And this year it meant even more.
Right now, the Ripost bill wants to turn dancing into a crime, organising a free party, even just showing up to one, could become an offence. It treats our culture as a security problem instead of what it is: heritage and community. Festivals are disappearing, associations are running on empty, artists can barely live from their work, and the whole ecosystem is already hanging by a thread. So we danced, loudly, together, thousands of us. You can’t stop people who dance.
Biggest love to for fighting for this culture every single day, for having us last Saturday, and for putting the float, the stage and the voice in the hands of the people who live this music. You carry so much, often unseen. Thank you.
