고향 거제에서 상영회를 열고, 고향 후배들 그리고 모교인 거제고등학교 후배들 앞에서 첫 강연도 하고,
뮤지션들과 영상 작업하고 가족영상으로 릴스 1000만 조회수도 경험했습니다.
하나같이 예전엔 상상도 못 했던 일들이 펼쳐지고있습니다.
새로운 시도와 도전은 늘 설레는 일인 것 같습니다.
앞으로 또 어떤 일들이 펼쳐질지 가늠이 안 돼서, 더 재밌습니다.
‘하루하루는 성실하게, 인생 전체는 되는 대로.’

이번 강연을 준비하며,
영화감독이라는 꿈을 처음 꾸었던 고등학교 1학년 시절부터 지금까지의 시간을 차근차근 돌아볼 수 있었습니다.
그 시간만으로도 개인적으로 참 의미 있었습니다.
더 특별했던 건, 강연을 들으러 온 학생들이
제가 딱 그 꿈을 꾸기 시작했던 ‘고1’ 친구들이었다는 점입니다.
진로에 대한 고민이 많을 시기라,
그때의 저를 떠올리며 조금이나마 도움이 될 수 있기를 바라는 마음으로
진심을 담아 준비했습니다.
그리고 강연장에서는 ‘영화 같은’ 일이 있었습니다.
고등학생 때 처음으로 누군가에게 제 꿈을 얘기했던 적이 있는데,
그 이야기를 들어줬던 친구가 지금은 선생님이 되어
학생들을 인솔해 강연장에 왔고,
저는 영화감독이 되어 그 앞에서 강연을 하게 됐습니다.
우연히 강연장에서 만나 고등학생때를 추억하며 근황을 듣는데,
서로가 원하는 일을 하고 있는 것에 감사한 순간이었습니다.
부족한 첫 강연이었지만,
진심만큼은 가득 담아 전하고 싶었습니다.
고집스럽게 꿈을 향해 달려가는 모든 분들께
조금이나마 도움이 되는 시간이었기를 바랍니다.

나도 한 번도 내 영화를 연달아서 본 적이 없는데, 파리에서 프랑스 관객들과 섞여 앉아 보고 있다니 믿기지 않았다.
3편의 영화 상영을 마치고, 무대 앞으로 나가 관객과의 대화 시간을 가졌다.
프랑스에서 상영과 GV는 처음이니 영화를 어떻게 보셨을지 궁금하기도 하고 떨렸다.
근데, 처음으로 손을 들고 후기를 얘기해 주신 프랑스 관객의 말에 바로 긴장이 풀렸다.
그 프랑스 관객은 '블루시티서울'을 3번이나 봤다고 하셨다. 그리고 오랜만에 다시 봤는데도 여전히 좋다는 얘기를 해주시며 다른 작품들도 재밌게 봤다고 하셨다.
낯선 타국에서 그 말이 얼마나 감사하고 따뜻한지.
아는 불어라고는 봉쥬르와 메르시밖에 없는데 감사함을 표현하고자 엄지척과 메르시(감사합니다)를 연발했다.
근데 그게 재밌었는지 다른 관객분들도 질문하기 전에 '블루시티서울'을 몇 번 봤는지로 운을 떼며 재밌게 봤다고 얘기해주셨다.
'블루시티서울'을 3번 본 관객들이 3명이나 있었고, n차 관람한 프랑스 관객들도 10명 정도 됐던 것 같다.
그때 그 순간만큼은 세상을 다 가진 기분이었다. 한국도 아니고 프랑스에서 n차관람이라니.
