We are pleased to announce that Círculos (Circles), a composition by Jin Oki, a flamenco guitarist and composer active in Japan and internationally, has received an Extraordinary Mention (Mención Extraordinaria) at the Second Cajasol International Flamenco Symphony Composition Competition, organized by Fundación Cajasol in Spain.

この作品は、フラメンコをめぐる終わりのない旅がテーマになっています。
母国である日本を出発し、スペインのグラナダでフラメンコの歌に出会い、ヘレスの地で繰り広げられる
ロマの人々の宴の中に、幼少期に親しんだ和楽器に通じる要素を感じ取り、それを再びフラメンコへと
還元していく。
人生の旅は、真っ直ぐに進んでいくようでいて、実際には「円」を描いているのかもしれません。
道のりの中で、さまざまな人と出会い、生まれた場所へ戻り、そして再び新たな旅に出る。
その旅は決して完結するものではありません。新たな縁を結びながら、円を、螺旋を描くように続いて
いく。
この作品を通じて、フラメンコギタリストとしてだけでなく、作曲家としても新たな出発点に立つことが
できたと感じています。
今後、公演やレコーディングを通じて、皆さまにこの作品をお聴きいただける機会を持てることを願っております。

伊東に住んでいた当時からお世話になっている方々、ギターを始める前の僕を知っている方々、また県外から足を運んでくれた方々もいらしたので、普段のコンサートとはまた違う気持ちでの演奏となりました。
豪雨の中足を運んでくださった関係者の皆さま、皆さまありがとうございました。
その夜は中学生の美術部時代からの大切な友人で、元バンドメンバーでもある水野氏の経営するジャパンペンション、ギャレーに宿泊。
早朝に富戸港へ自ら買い付けに行くという地魚を、ふんだんに使ったコース料理！本当に絶品でした。
新たに露店風呂も設置され、心身ともに深く癒されました。
伊豆方面へお越しの方へぜひおすすめしたい宿です。
翌日は、中学生時代に通った工房ルソーへ。
ギャラリーにて水田大輔先生の作品を見せていただき、また先生の含蓄に富んだ貴重なお話を聞かせていただきました。
正に人生の宝物のようなひと時でした。
