Tateo Kusano has been an invaluable presence in my life and career. Over the years, he produced performance opportunities for me in Bolivia, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Laos, and Nepal, and it was thanks to his support that I first found the courage to begin my solo activities as a guitarist.
Some of the most unforgettable scenes in my musical journey were made possible by him: performing with pianist Mine Kawakami and the youth orchestra of Urubichá in Bolivia; sharing the stage with bandoneón maestro Néstor Marconi at the opera house in Buenos Aires; and playing on an open‑air stage in Kathmandu with the Himalayas rising behind us. Each of these moments is etched deeply into my life with the guitar.
Mr. Kusano has spent half a century working in development cooperation in emerging and developing countries, while also pursuing his passion as a flamenco bailaor. He has now gathered his extraordinary path into a single book:

最初に哲郎くんからお話をいただいたのは2年ほど前でしたが、先日ついにこの1本が手元に届き、以来時間が経つのも忘れて毎日弾き続けています。
第一印象として、音の粒がぽろぽろと零れ落ちてくるような感触が特別で、いつまでも弾いていたくなるギターです。
明るくカラフルな音色は、どこかテオドロ・ペレスの系譜を思わせるところもあります。（後から聞いたところによると、塗料の使い分けはテオドロの手法を意識しているとのこと。）
豊かな音量を持ち、タッチの違いをとても明確に発音してくれる一方で、こちらを拒むような威圧感はなく、むしろ柔軟さや「人の良さ」のようなものを感じます。その辺りは、日本製ならではのキャラクターなのかもしれません。
木の鳴りから感じられる土着性と、周波数レンジの広さや精度の高さという現代性とをうまく両立しており、これまでの同モデルにはなかった「粘り」や「しなり」を併せ持つ、まさに今の哲郎くんにしか造れないギターだと感じました。
以前から哲郎くんとは、従来の650mmスケールを3mmだけ延長したいと相談を重ねてきましたが、この653mmというスケールは、日本人として標準的な手の大きさである自分にとって、ギリギリのところで攻められるサイズ感だと感じています。
以下はこのモデルの特別仕様の部分になります。
・弦長653mmのサイズアップ (ネック幅は通常モデルと同一) ・トップの設計変更 ・塗装変更 (温暖化の為に、トップのみセラックで胴・裏・ネックはカシュー）（今後変更の可能性あり） ・ハイポジションにPositioning assist line F12〜F17まで象嵌 ・少し厚めのアームレストを装着 ・メキシコ貝の駒のローズ

A prototype of the latest Tetsuo Kurosawa / Jin Oki “Blanca” Millennium Model has just arrived.
My first impression was that each note seems to gently spill out, one by one, like tiny droplets from my hands. It is the kind of guitar that makes you want to keep playing forever.
Its bright, colorful timbre reminds me in some ways of the Teodoro Pérez.(Tetsuo’ｓ maestro)
Later I knew that finishes choice was in fact inspired by Teodoro’s approach.
The guitar offers a rich volume and articulates subtle differences in touch with great clarity, yet it never feels aggressive. Instead, there is a flexibility and a kind of “good-natured” personality in the way it responds. In that sense, this may be a very Japanese character.
At the same time, it reconciles an earthy, almost folkloric resonance in the wood with a very modern sense of wide frequency range and precise response.
Compared with the previous Jin Oki models, this instrument adds a new element of “elasticity” and “springiness”. It truly feels like a guitar that only the current Tetsuo Kurosawa could have realized.
There is a real possibility that this Jin Oki Millennium Model will be released as a production model in the future, so please stay tuned for further updates.

SNSでは繋がっていたけれど会うのは初めての井草聖二さんとお話しできたのも嬉しかった。
イーストエンド国際ギターフェスティバルを主催されている樋浦さんに敬意を表します。

Lo escucho desde sus tiempos de dúo con el guitarrista flamenco Samuelito, y como oyente de siempre, fue una oportunidad muy especial poder disfrutar de su interpretación en vivo, así que fui directamente desde Kioto al Toyosu Civic Center.
Su forma de tocar, que parte del jazz manouche y transita libremente entre enfoques clásicos y jazzísticos, fue realmente extraordinaria.
También me alegró mucho poder conversar por primera vez con Seiji Igusa, con quien ya estaba conectado a través de redes sociales.
