Dit lied zong ik veel met mijn moeder en zus, driestemmig in de woonkamer. Mama begeleidde ons op gitaar.
Het verwijst naar een tragisch sprookje over een moeder en haar ongehoorzame kinderen. Omdat de kinderen nooit naar haar luisterden en haar slecht behandelden, smeekte de wanhopige moeder de magische rots om haar op te slokken. Toen de kinderen hun fout inzagen en berouw toonden, was het te laat.
Slimme mamsie: gezellig zingen en ondertussen subtiel lessen meegeven. Werkte goed want mijn zus en ik waren uiteraard altijd super braaf 😉
