One of the BIGGEST blessings since 2023: free travel. Swipe to read how.

We honestly couldn’t afford to travel before. As a family of six, hotel rooms cost an arm & a leg making travel not an option. But a good friend convinced us to try Home Exchange in early 2023, and we never looked back & yes, we were very skeptical.

Would you ever stay in someone else’s home to travel for free?

Comment “EXCHANGE” and I’ll send you the details
or save this for when hotel prices make you mad again
Grocery prices are honestly unhinged right now.
So instead of complaining, I got intentional. (& trust me, I complained for YEARS)

Meal planning, points, shopping sales, and not tossing random stuff in the cart has saved us hundreds (1K a month).

No extreme couponing, just being smarter and more intentional before I go to the grocery store. Plus, pretty sure extreme couponing doesn’t exist in Canada. IYKYK

Because every dollar we save on groceries is a dollar that can go somewhere else — and that matters (like savings or travel)

What’s the hardest part of grocery shopping for you right now?
Impulse buys? Takeout nights? Snack food?

Also… if you’re not using a points system yet, this is your sign…. I literally bought Brinleys Christmas present (a Ninja Swirl) entirely with PC points! Literally not sponsored AT ALL. I’m just really obsessed with the program.
The fastest way to save money in January?
Don’t replace Christmas decor with impulse purchases.

Are you leaving your space as is this month, or do you feel the urge to fill it?
I STOPPED SHARING DIY CONTENT & here’s why ——
Don’t get me wrong, I still love watching others DIY their homes and I have a deep love for Interior Design + styling my home, but I personally decided to stop sharing DIY. It stopped being fun. It became extremely expensive and I started DIYing rooms & things I didn’t want to change all for the sake of content to stay relevant.

Is constant “improvement” actually inspiring?
or just another form of pressure we’ve normalized?
2025 RECAP —
This year was INCEEDIBLY full. I could of added way more pictures. It was so full that I hit a bad burnout in September. But God is good and sometimes when we are brought to a rest, He will renew us if we allow Him.
I’m so thankful for all that God has given me. Our family, my friends, the many teens that have allowed me to pour into them. My son who was baptized and the three girls that gave me the honour of baptizing them this year — truly so thankful for this year and all of the ups & downs. Some incredibly painful moments in losing a close cousin and hitting burnout and grief.. but it was all intermixed with joy and peace. Not sure how heartbreak and joy can intermix, but they can.
Looking forward to 2026 and the many adventures & opportunities I’ll have.
If you have been one of my friends this year and have stuck through with me since June — thank you, it means the world to me. If you know, you know. 🩵
I can never capture the magic on the last moments on Christmas Eve.. but I tried again this year.
So thankful for all God has given me, I can’t eben articulate how blessed I feel.

This year we didn’t even get a family photo.. so much was packed into 2025 and I spent all fall severely burnt out. But I made it and if you also feel like you barely made it out alive, I’m sending you a virtual high five. I see you.
A little peek into our home this Christmas. Christmas is arguably my favourite time of year to decorate. The glow of the tree is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE.
This year I went full nostalgic with red and soft greens. Bringing back those 90’s Christmas’s!
Our tree and garlands are from the most authentic & real looking greenery around!
The tree is the 9’ Red Spruce Slim and garlands are BH Fraser Fir

It’s been a minute since I posted anything home related because, well, ‘home’ seems to be on the back burner right now, but I still have big plans for this space!
We recently got these AMAZING genuine leather chairs from and every person who has come over has said they love them!
They’re super comfortable, good quality and an amazing price point for genuine leather.

I NEVER SHOWED YOU ALL A DEN REVEAL!! I mean, I showed you a reel, but never the photos - so here she is! Since these shots I added two sconces and eventually we would like to do built ins on the wall the TV is on
Come for a moonlight paddle with us 🙋🏼‍♀️
-
But in all seriousness, this feels like a dream. The last year of being bedridden I envisioned myself paddle boarding on the ocean, pain-free. I envisioned how freeing and joyful that would feel and I’m finally here.. maybe not 100% better, but grateful for the 80% better…and yes, it feels like a dream
The boards are from and we couldn’t be more happy with them. Super good quality & ship super fast from Quebec.
Come with a pump, patch, back pack and paddle!
