There’s something unforgettable about the colours, the crisp air, the unique orange hues and wandering with a camera during peak autumn. It's the unique Japan autumn experience you can't find anywhere else around the world.
Revisiting these photos makes me even more excited to photograph Japan’s autumn leaves again later this year — this time with more intention and experience behind the lens.

Start in Queenstown, the adventure capital, before winding your way to the breathtaking fjords of Milford Sound, where lush landscapes feel straight out of a movie scene.
After heading south, slow things down at Lake Wanaka, fish and chips by the lake, before driving through Lindis Pass on your way to watch the stars light up the sky over Aoraki/Mackenzie - the largest dark sky reserve in the world!
Finally, you got to see Aoraki / Mount Cook - Hike to its base through Hooker Valley or take it all in from above on a scenic flight. This is the kind of trip that gets you up close to some of the world's coolest landscapes all at once.

From tuk tuks and bicycles to motorbikes and scooters, each one moves differently, creating a new challenge every time I photograph the subject. Fast or slow, they’re more than just transport, they’re part of daily life, culture, and rhythm on the streets around the world.
My tip for photographing bikes on the go: Use shutter priority, auto ISO, and be ready to adjust your settings on the fly. Most importantly, have fun with it!
