Met him a while ago — genuinely refreshing, in the best way.
Looking at his work, it makes sense. His roles were never polished or easy. There was always something raw, something real underneath. He wasn’t interested in being likable — he cared about truth.
I met him several times, among them one evening on the set of Winnetou.
He was always incredibly charming, polite, and genuinely kind — the kind of presence that immediately puts you at ease.
That’s what stays with me.❤️
