I am so honored to have painted a wall for at their Redmond location! I hope you enjoy seeing a little more behind the scenes of this mural and my process, and understanding why I chose the imagery featured in this mural.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for Molly Moon’s 10-year Redmond anniversary and mural reveal! It was such a beautiful way to celebrate and connect with the community. There were DJs, great conversations, lots of ice cream of course, and the official reveal of this mural!

If you’re craving some ice cream, stop by Molly Moon’s Redmond and see my new mural all in one trip.

"Records and Wine" is now available as a screen print ⚡ The story behind the print 👇

Growing up, my folks played a lot of Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt, CCR, The Eagles, Heart, and Carol King. At the time, we only had access from radio. The radio would play mostly top 40 hits and so many bands were overplayed, shoved down your throat, that it made me highly driven to find more obscure music. That’s when I went searching for record stores.

As a teen, I would annoy the clerks asking what new music they were listening to and to try to find the backstory of all my favorite bands. I would scour magazines, talk to like minded friends, and listen to my walkman at FULL BLAST- destroying my ears in the process.

I felt music so hard, huge emotional reactions that would either make me immensely happy or sad- I felt it ALL. To this day it can be really difficult to listen to certain songs that remind me of hard times from the past. At the same time a song like medicine can bring me out of a depressive spiral. In my peak music era, I went to shows almost every night- so many that I forget all of them and then someone will stir a memory and I realize, holy shit!! I was there!!

When I used to listen to records in my room (not as cool looking as this one ha!) I had magazines all over the floors and posters on every part of the wall, even a stash of beer that I stole from my parents under the bed. These days if I had enough room in my house, I would have a music room with a daybed like this, some vintage curtains and an old chair- and absolutely a brilliant old stereo system just like my dads.

I made this print for the music freaks like me, who might resonate with the hours they spend listening to music, when you had nothing to do, when sometimes you were even BORED…maybe even grounded (which was a LOT of the time for me 💀).

Thank you to everyone who collected the linocut print, which is now sold out. This new screen print is signed limited edition.xo
When I was a kid, it was rare we had raspberries in the house. They weren’t easily available at the stores we had in my hometown and seemed like a delicacy to me and my brother. Whenever we had them we would immediately put them on our fingers. We didn’t like olives as much and we only had canned available at the store and we all know how those tasted ha! We ate them slowly like candy but first pretended they were puppets talking to one another. ❤️

Later as an adult one of my favorite movies came out called Amélie and the romance of raspberry fingers began again along with my kids who enjoyed playing with them just like my brother and I. When I started printmaking, this was one of the first prints I made, and it has been well loved by many of you.

Now I am offering Raspberry Fingers as a screen print! I hope it resonates with some of you or your kids too! Xo

A decade ago, Redmond became our first home on the Eastside — and it changed everything! ✨

What started as one shop has grown into a whole little Eastside family, with Bellevue joining along the way and our brand-new Kirkland location just getting started. But Redmond is where it all began over here, and that deserves a proper celebration.

So we’re throwing a party 🥳

Come find us on Friday, May 8th from 6–9pm for a night worth showing up for:
✔️ a mural reveal from our incredibly talented friend,
✔️ ginger beer floats,
✔️ and live DJs and NOSTALGIA B keeping the energy exactly right all evening 🎧🎶

Jennifer’s work has meant a lot to us — if you’ve followed along this year, you know. And seeing her work on the walls of our Redmond shop feels like the perfect way to mark ten years in this community.

See you there!
Stripes, stripes, and more stripes⚡️⚡️

Looking back at my artwork, I wanted to post a carousel in honor of how often stripes make their way into my art. It first started from carving and creating linocut prints, as stripes lend themselves to that medium. Then, I found how amazing they are at helping me depict anything from snakes, portals, rivers, clothes, and more. So, they’ll be sticking around. Also, it’s a good excuse to show some old work and new work. If any of these catches your eye, I have prints available on my website, and paintings at. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any inquiries.

I love how something as simple as black and white stripes can shift depending on where it lives in the painting. Which of these paintings is your favorite?

This painting holds different meanings depending on how you look at it. Titled “No News in Good News”

I think of it as a late-night encounter with your older self. She comes to visit while you’re gazing at the sky on a chilly night, a palm tree swaying in the breeze. She wears a mask so she doesn’t startle you, but somehow you know it’s you. She begins to tell you about her life, your future life. What is something you would like to hear? Or do you find “No News in Good News”?

Another version I see feels like those long nights talking with a close friend under a starry sky. Sitting on your balcony, the cold air on your skin, moving through conversations about old memories, updates on friends in common, grief, and what it means to go through dark moments in this life. Again, do you find “No News in Good News”? The meaning of each conversation shifts as you both grow and change.

Which version resonates most with you? Or do you see something completely different? That’s what is special about art: everyone finds the meaning that feels right for them.

This painting is available through Spectrum Fine Art Feel free to reach out with any inquiries.

Spilling the secrets to my encaustic paintings. If you don’t know what encaustic is, it’s an ancient painting technique which combines beeswax, damar resin and then either oil paint, natural powdered pigments, or other mediums to give it color⚡️It is part of my artistic practice, and I have made my own use of the material.

Have you ever wondered how I make my encaustic paintings? It’s an extensive process, but very satisfying. Which step is your favorite?
