This little princess! I didn't want to say anything at the time, but Normandy gave me quite the scare last week. All of a sudden, she didn't want to eat. I couldn't get her to take her bottle and I couldn't get her to eat food (because she was still too small). She lost a little weight/held steady with no gains. Her sidters kept growing, but she didn't. She got dehydrated because she wasn't taking enough in. I did fluids and nutritional paste. I fought with her to get her to take in enough so she at least didn't lose weight. Because she had a full mouth of teeth, tube feeding wasn't an option. So we struggled and battled, and then finally she decided she was ready to latch again! Now we are working on weaning, and she is eating great! She is still behind her sisters in weight, but she is doing a great job catching up!! But this is why monitoring weight of your kittens is so important! It allows you to spot if something is wrong! Yay, Normandy! Good job finally getting back with the program!

Little Paris after her last bottle!! We started weaning yesterday and it is going great. I strongly believe in waiting to wean kittens and doing kitten led weaning. In this house, we aren't in a rush! When you wait, kittens are more able to actually take in the food than wear it. They are also better able to digest it. In addition to the mess they create when they are weaned early because they don't have the coordination, that can be wear kittens go wrong, because you might think they are eating, but they really aren't. Then they don't gain weight, or they lose weight, and then you have problems. When you wait until they have the ability and coordination to actually eat, they take in the food and gain weight! The kittens are 6 weeks old tomorrow, so I waited a little longer on these babies (I usually start trying around 5 weeks), but they made it clear they weren't ready until yesterday!

It's those big, sweet eyes for me! Marseille is such a darling little kitten. All four kittens are constantly purring, but this girl? She takes it to another level! She literally starts the moment she sees me and never stops. When I pick her up and give her kisses, she turns into a jet engine! She is beyond sweet and her eyes show just how sweet she is!

Cherbourg is kind of a cheeseball! She will put herself into my hand and then just tuck her back legs in like this! She purrs and purrs when I pick her up and when I kiss her little face, she just closes her eyes like the happy little doll she is! She is such an adorable baby kitten!

The kittens have graduated to the big pen and they are doing great! They mastered the litter box pretty quickly and so they were rewarded with more space! Kittens are tiny, so I always gradually increase their space as they grow and learn so that they don't get overwhelmed or hurt! They're actually still happy on their bottle and there is no reason to rush them off! I'm sure they will be ready for wet food soon, but we will wait until they tell me I'm ready! Girls are getting big!!💜💜💜💜

I feel like I haven't shared many pics of Paris! Little girl is such a cute tabby kitten with a perfect M on her forehead! That is one of the ways you can tell the difference between her and Marseille. Marcy has kind of an upside down M.. Paris also has a darker coat..more dark gray/black on her back and Marcy is more of a light brown/tan! Paris is full of purrs and love!
